I love The George. My checl-in experience was nothing special, but many of the staff who recognized me, made me feel immediately at home.
My room, 301, was the noisiest I've ever experienced at yhe hotel.with a constant slew of people using the emergency stair exit all night long. This was not great.
Kleine week verbleven in dit hotel Fijne locatie, rustig en toch maar 5 min lopen naar een gezellige boulevard. Personeel was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Gezellige tuin erbij met een zwembad zonder chloor. Alles schoon en goed geregeld

The hotel in general was poor quality with restaurant staff removing dishes from tables while peoole were still eating paint peeling off radiators and wallpaper coming away at the joins had to change rooms because one of the mattresses was none existant as when lying on it felt like lying on the bed base and the room we were given had very poor standards of decoration but at least the bed was good and clean.The hotel itself is in need of a total revamp wont be staying again and will warn friends etc not to which is a shame because the hotel setting was great.when checking out the recepionist was chewing gum or something didnt seem interested and didnt even ask if we had enjoyed our stay but the chap who was in reception when we arrived was first class and a credit to the hotel
Where to start? Very friendly welcome from lovely lady. Room really clean but very small and stuffy (window opens a few inches but road noise awful).
No WIFI which we asked about and were told it was being 'upgraded' and connection was 'fragile' so 'keep trying'. We tried for a couple of hours as we needed it due to there also being no phone signal. It didn't connect.
Breakfast was a shambles. Choose from continental OR cooked but continental was missing advertised cheese and cooked meats. I asked if what was on the small table was the entire continental and was told 'yes, it's all there'. So I asked, if I choose a cooked breakfast, can I have a croissant, given that the continental had so little on it. Answer 'no, it's one or the other'.
Hospitality at it's finest ??
Two types of croissant on offer. Burnt ones which appeared to be reheated from previous day and others which were lovely. They were the only 'bread' option on offer. Otherwise, cereal, juices, yogurts and apples so the poorest continental I have ever seen.
Overall, this is a very overpriced hotel with little in the way of actual hospitality.
Lovely and pleasant place to stay for 3 nights. Nice staff, friendly and helpful. Room is great, sea view, clean and replenish everyday. Food in the George is very very good, plentiful too. Will go back when we are in Bridport again.
Nice room, easy check-in .The receptionist showed us to 2 different rooms,so we were more comfortable.
The only thing I would say the room was a bit warm even though there was a fan but otherwise value for money and location.
I would recommend and stay here again.

L h?tel est très bien situé, à 10 mn à pieds de la gare et 5 grosses mn du métro ou bus. Vue sur un parc, aucun bruit (c est un luxe à Londres!!)
Petit dej excellent , personnel attentionné.
L h?tel est très propre, lits confortable, sdb petite mais largement suffisante.
Pas très grand
Bref rien à reprocher
