I stayed overnight on Tues 20 May-Wed 21 May to meet friends on the morning of 21 May, to visit Montrose Museum & Art Gallery. I had booked lunch for 1.00pm in the hotel. Dinner, Breakfast and Lunch were all served very efficiently. Portions of food were generous.

Great getaway location close to the beach, can recommend a beach view room. Unfortunately the rooftop bar and restaurant were not completed when we visited, but that will improve the facilities available!

Hotel is only a month old when we stayed, it still had that formaldehyde smell if you are concerned. We got a free upgrade to supreme king. There was some markings on the bedding being a new hotel, but it was comfortable with a balcony. Remember to inform reception before 9am if you want housekeeping, which is a bit early for a beach side hotel. The major concern was noise. It does get very noisy at night with the balcony glass not being double glaszed. There is also free parking after 5pm if you are able to find a spot.

Trip to Castletown The George was clean, the bed was very comfy and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. I would describe it as a pub with rooms rather than a hotel.

Everything exceeded our expectactions. From the location of the hotel, friendly staff in the hotel and Taps restaurant. Beautifully decorated room. That was cleanest room we have ever stayed. Great amenities. We are coming back.

C’est un h?tel merveilleux, e avec beaucoup d’espace et une bonne touche de modernité. Il fait bon vivre et c’est très accueillant. Le service est parfait et l’atmosphère y est vraiment agréable. La nourriture et le confort sont parfaits.

Lovely rooms and amazing food! We ate in the restaurant in the evening when we arrived and the choices as well as quality of food was fabulous. Really friendly staff and clean rooms. Would definitely stay again and an ideal location if you are skydiving

Don’t bother, better off camping! Bad! Seemed to just be there as a way of milking cash from tired walkers of the Hadrians wall. Room was in a pretty bad condition and included a hole in the wall exposing live electrical wires. 1 tiny radiator which was useless for drying wet gear from hiking. Some of the plugs in the room you couldn’t even use as they were non standard UK plugs. The menu prices at the restaurant were ridiculous for what you got and the service was pretty lacklustre.

An excellent hotel It was exceptional. The room was clean and well maintained, and was a very good size. The staff were so friendly and all went the extra mile for us as their guests. Would highly recommend.
