The hotel was lovely and the decor is top notch! The flag made out of books in the lobby is amazing. Unfortunately, the walls are paper thin, and you can hear noise from other rooms all night; the rooms are also somewhat small for a "luxury hotel". There are no towel bars to put wet towels up in the bathroom. As a luxury hotel, it's not really on par with The Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. It's very nice and there are so many walkable eating and shopping options. The staff is by far one of the best aspects of this hotel. From the valets to the front desk staff, they are consummate professionals and very pleasant to work with!

Disappointed… I have stayed at The George before and I was excited to be back. However, this trip left me feeling a bit disappointed. There was a running water in the pipes noise ALL night long!!! It was also very hot in our room, even though we adjusted the thermostat to the 60’s. When I told the staff about the noise we heard all night they just apologized and said they’d put a note on my profile for when I stay there next time so they don’t put me on the 2nd floor. We also received a card when we checked in stating that there was a shuttle service within a 5 mile radius, however, when I inquired about it, the staff had no idea what I was talking about.

Friendly efficient check in. Room was cosy warm and clean. Bathroom toiletries smelt lovely and the shower was powerful and hot. Great service in the bar and at breakfast. Full English breakfast was cooked perfectly too

Wonderful stay at the George’s! Lovely room and excellent service (they walked us to our building which a beautifully restored livery/linen cleaning businesses from over 100 years ago.) Breakfast (gratis) was delicious and staff attentive to our needs. We were in town for an office holiday party and the parade was on Main Street. Received advance notice and direction from the Georges without prompting.

Doubles - not Queens Inside the hotel lobby is very nice. The rooms are great as well; however, if you are booking "doubles" instead of king - just be aware that they are indeed double size beds. Very small to fit 2 grown adults in that aren't spooning all night. I went with 3 grown children and it was difficult for us to get comfortable. No rollaway beds available when we called to ask. And if you are visiting as an away team playing the Aggies - don't expect anyone to be friendly. :)

This is a beautiful property in wonderful historic buildings. Beautifully decorated and furnished with one if the most comfortable beds we have slept in while traveling! While our room was not that large, it still had wonderful amenities and was extremely comfortable.

This is a lovely historic place to stay. As such, there are some deficits, such as no elevators. However, there is a choice of restaurants in a wide price and style range, within a block or two. There are multiple shops. The entire downtown is kept in beautiful historic condition. It was definitely a place I will stay again.

Very comfortable hotel Good off road parking. Warm and kind welcome at reception. Excellent breakfast with great service. Our room was smart and large and had recently been renewed. Good shower. We would be delighted to return

The advertisement didn’t state the hotel has no lift. We had to carry our heavy luggage up 4 floors !! The bathroom sink was pathetically tiny. You can’t wash your hands without wetting the floor. The water pressure from the shower was also very inconsistent and weak at most times
