The staff was good and the food in the restaurant was good. The downside was Sharky's across the street was so loud on Friday night and Saturday night, my wife and I could not fall asleep until after two AM..

Very good experience from check-in to checkout. Staff were extremely good. One word of warning though. No lift makes staying in room 25 upwards a bit of a trek. Besides that the room itself was worth it.
Had a brill afternoon in the george service and staff are wonderful. Especially wayne who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Recommend anyone to go in for a drink and a good carvery Atmosphere welcoming. Place clean and tidy. We will be back
Rooms very clean bit on the small side , went down for breakfast on Saturday morning and as I was putting bread in the toaster I noticed it was mouldy. I said to the young girl just to let you know your bread is mouldy she said it can’t be it. It’s fresh bread. I pointed the green mould out to her as I turned around and walked to the table. I noticed she was picking the mould off and rubbing the bread with her hand and put it all back in the bread bin for the next guest then the cleaner came in while we were having breakfast and opened the lad where the sausages were and took a sausage out with her fingers walked off little bit later came back done the same with the hashbrowns never went for breakfast on Sunday that put me off totally .
Hotel George looks much better in person than in the photos. Everything is extremely clean and comfortable. The hosts are extremely accommodating and friendly. They shared with us some local tips that were very helpful. Highly recommended. We'll be back for sure! ??
