Super und sehr sch?n gelegen
Sehr sch?n gelegenes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem, hilfsbereitem Personal. Unser Zimmer war sehr gross und super ausgestattet mit neu renoviertem Bad in gutem Zustand. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.
Das Hotel hat einen tollen Garten mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten und einer sch?nen Aussicht auf die Brücke und den Fluss.
Das Restaurant hat eine gute Auswahl an Speisen und wir haben sehr lecker gegessen. Das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichhaltig. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

What makes The George are the staff. From the moment we made the accommodation booking, through a warm welcome and a final goodbye the team made our stay! Hannah was superb at arranging a taxi to and from a nearby wedding venue and we also enjoyed a lovely lunch on one day and a full english breakfast on our second. Plenty of parking, 2 fans in the room (it was a v hot weekend) and cool drinks. What's not to like! Thank you.

Excellent very comfortable four poster bed Large en-suite , very clean, and in extremely hot weather a very welcome Air conditioning unit in room, Good choice of beers in the bar, Very well presented and cooked full English breakfast ( quality ingredients) included in the very reasonably Priced room Large car park Very friendly and hospitable welcoming staff Highly recommended Good value ??

We stayed here when visiting family as it was one of only three hotels in the town we could find. I wouldn’t stay here again. The entire pub was tired and in need of some TLC. The room we stayed in (Room 5); a twin room felt like it may have been a storage cupboard/office at some point (based on the huge amount of plug sockets!). It was very warm and although there were two fans, there was no other temperature control. The entire room had been done cheaply, with very old furniture, cheap applicances, and cheap mattresses. The cleanliness seemed lacking too, shower water pressure was very low and lots of dust. Breakfast was reasonable, however staff forgot half of the order - toast was offered and nowhere to be seen. I got the feeling that rooms are offered as an additional revenue stream, however the pub needs to be fixed first. We paid ￡89 for our stay and in all honesty ￡50 would have been pushing it.

I was impressed with the lady who ran the hotel that night. She checked me in, instructed me where to park my car, advised where to get dinner because they didn't provide evening meals, served my drink in the bar, laid my table for my brought in take away dinner and then cleared up and still managed to do some cleaning. She made my evening very easy and pleasant. I couldn't ask for more.

Fantastic find! Lovely area and a delightful hotel. Staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. Wonderful breakfast and super comfy bed!

Das Frühstück w?re steigerungsf?hig. Spiegelei, Champignons super Kaffee da fehlten Bohnen. Saft ok, Müsli Ceralien aus der Packung.

The hotel had a grand and atmospheric dining room, and the staff, both at breakfast and checking in/out were most welcoming and friendly. A very good breakfast too.
