Spotless hotel, excellent staff, amazing cocktails. And the location can't be beat.
The hotel is not just your average room, but upscale amenities, comfortable bed, beautiful design, and spacious quarters. I will be back for sure.

We were really looking forward to our first stay here. After a late check in at 11:15pm, the A/C in the room wasn’t working. To their credit, Autumn did her best to accommodate us. She moved us to another room. She was great. Rollaway bed was old and coils could be felt. Room was also very far away from elevator.
If we give The George another shot in the future we hope it will be a better experience.

A warm welcome and friendly atmosphere was a great start to the weekend ahead. All the staff were exceptional and the room was comfortable and clean and the food very good value. Highly recommend and Hayfield is a beautiful place to visit.

Had a lovely evening meal at the George with family. We had the festive menu and the food was delicious. We made a mistake when preordering, completely our fault however the staff came over and said we will change them, no questions asked- fantastic customer service. The atmosphere is very welcoming, some village pubs can be rather closed to outsiders - not this one!! Warm and friendly

Room was immaculately clean and well presented with a fabulous view of the ocean. The bathroom was somewhat less than private!
We had a small problem getting the tv remote to work which took some time to resolve.
The reception staff on our day of checkout (Saturday) were incredibly helpful.

Everything was excellent, except for the following: the carpet was torn and very shabby, the rooms are a little cramped, and the furniture was a little bit old and worn. Having said that, I would definitely stay there again because it was overall an excellent. experience.

Arrived around 2pm. Staff welcoming and the room was spotlessly clean and lovely. We had a meal downstairs which was amazing before heading out for drinks. However, we came back around 7pm as we struggled to get into the pubs as they were packed. We had a drink in the hotel bar then went back to the room. Then the loud music started which we hadn’t realised was a live band so all we had was ‘thud, thud’ till 10:30pm. Music stop then at around 11pm guests adjacent to us came back talking loudly and shouting till the early hours, banging doors, walls were paper thin and there was no one to contact as reception shut at 11pm. Breakfast should have been 9:30am in a cramped area downstairs, there was no sign of movement, so we left before it was served. Would definitely recommend for food but maybe not a quiet, relaxing stay.

The staff were excellent. The cooked breakfasts were great. The hotel has a lovely old historic feel about it in a beautiful setting. It was a lovely long weekend stay

Beautiful hotel, so clean and wonderful room with stunning views. All staff smiled and gave impeccable customer service also. We came here for a ‘Minimoon’ after getting married and our meal in the restaurant was better than our wedding breakfast!
They also treated us to a lovely upgrade which was so appreciated! Can’t wait to come back!
