We had a wonderful stay in the spacious and elegant Merchant’s Suite, which had a wood stove and a jetted tub. The staff were all very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed all the breakfast options and we had dinner multiple nights in the pub- delicious.

The clean room, warm welcome and easy vibe of this hotel stood out and I would 100% recommend to everyone. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in the area. A joy of an establishment.

Nice room but very noisy . Adjacent hotel very loud until 3.00 am and no double glazing in room . Understand New Year’s Eve but paid $850 for the room and should be better soundproofed . Did not include car park at $40 extra

Room was very large and great bed , we stayed on the second floor with an ocean view , couldn't fault their service , will definitely stay there when we next get to Glenelg

The room was clean and the location was excellent, which makes me inclined to return. However, the service at reception was disappointing. The staff member who checked us in seemed annoyed by our presence, which was unwelcoming after a long nine-hour family drive.
The following day, we asked about the availability of beach towels but encountered the same lack of warmth. It was surprising that, given the hotel’s proximity to the beach, towels were not provided. When we politely asked if she could suggest where we might purchase one, she quickly dismissed us without showing any willingness to assist.
As feedback, it would be beneficial for the staff to be familiar with the stores nearby that sell towels. This would enhance the customer experience, especially when the hotel does not offer certain amenities.

Das Hotel ist neu und verkauft sich als 4-Sterne-Hotel. Der Service entspricht dem eines Serviced Apartments. Das Zimmer wird nur alle 4 Tage gereinigt und dies erf?hrt man erst wenn man reklamiert dass das Zimmer nicht gemacht ist. Einige Mitarbeiter sind freundlich, andere sehr hochn?sig. Die Terrasse war schmutzig und es hatte Zigarettenkippen von den Vorg?nger auf dem Boden. Alle Bilder sind Randerings und das Zimmer und die Einrichtung entsprechen nur teilweise der Realit?t.

We had a great stay. The welcome was sincere and we were looked after better than hoped throughout. It was VERY busy over the Friday and Saturday nights but the team always accommodated us! Service was spot on and the food, evening meal on Friday and breakfast on the Saturday, was faultless. Would be more than happy to return and recommend.

Had another really lovely stay at the George. Room was beautiful, clean, had a wood burning fire, view of the loch, and very friendly staff. Had breakfast, lunches and dinners during my stay and they were all wonderful and accommodating to a food allergy. Grateful for the charming George Hotel and its friendly staff!

Staff were lovely, free parking albeit first come furst served. Comfy bed clean room and loved the fact there was good quality decaf tea/coffee and plant based milk. Something i rarely find available.
