The George hotel is so nice. The room is so clean and everywhere is exceptionally beautiful. I enjoyed myself. The house keepers, receptionist and everyone I came across are very professional and warm. Thank you “The George” for giving me a wonderful experience!

Outstanding, I had a superb stay ,the George is unique
Whilst, having a timeless aspect ,magnificent historic building it has modern features, and aspects,that make it very comfortable.
The best hotel experience, I have had for year's, I am looking forward to staying again, a perfect end to my
Christmas break.

Quiet, clean room. Very good food with good selection. Very good coffee and drinks and top selections for breakfast. Comfortable bars and restaurant. Very good service. Central location with very good access to surrounding attractions.

After a long drive from Morpeth north of Newcastle NSW we opted to have our evening meal here. The food and more importantly the staff were first rate. Full marks to the bar staff member who convinced the chef to serve up a treat for our fur baby

i came in here initially to escape the rain and decided to have a bite to eat while here. the burger was nice but overpriced and the bun was too small for the burger. there was a good selection of craft beers on tap. staff were friendly. looked clean.

It’s a no!
Ok check in. I E cold room. Old School quilt, no down comforter in sight. Stone hard pillow.
Breakfast. Sweaty cheese, cheap ready cut bread, absolutely no cut vegetables. They made eggs. And a full British breakfast. That’s not for me and the rest of the world.
No umbrellas at front of house. Dirty British wall to wall carpets.
They had an ok bar with very strange wine glasses.
