Amazing! The staff was truly incredible. Sheik, the manager went above and beyond to answer all my questions. The hotel is very authentic and very much a boutique hotel that feels very true to the city. Getting in and out was very easy; there was always someone at the reception 24/7. I would definitely recommend staying here rather than a fancier hotel if you’re looking for a more unique experience in Cartagena. Thank you Alfiz for making my Cartagena trip even better!

The hotel is very centrally located and the bed was very comfy but sadly that’s the positives. When we checked in we weren’t given any information about the breakfast/ swimming pool options at the sister hotels. Toilet seat was on the floor when we arrived, lights didn’t work, TV didn’t work, the bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom downstairs, not ideal when you get up in the night for the toilet! After the maid service one day we only had one large towel, no small towels and no bath mat - we had to ask 3 times for any attention to be given to this. Breakfast was poor - asked for soft fried eggs - always massively overcooked and we could hear breakfast being set up at 6.00 am Not a hotel I would recommend

El Hotel es bonito pero mi experiencia no lo ha sido tanto. Habitaciones no 3 ( Llamada Indígena) en la planta baja que da al patio y las mesas de desayuno. A las 06h00 ya están trabajando la cocinera y su ayudante y se oye toda la conversación. La ducha PELIGROSA embutida en la pared y con inclinación que hace que te resbales facilmente. La caja fuerte cerrada. Pedí en recepción que la abriesen para usarla, me dicen que pasan nota a mantenimiento y en los tres días que estuve allí no apareció nadie. Si no te gusta la "Omelette" para desayunar te tendrás que conformar con tres cachitos de fruta y una tostada con mantequilla, no hay mas. Es muy difícil que yo hable mal de un hotel y me conformo fácilmente pero lo de la ducha no lo paso y me parece peligroso si no fuera por esto quizás no habría escrito nada.

Es un peque?o hotel de unas 8 habitaciones, decorado con un estilo colonial aunque nos dijeron que lo iban a reformar. El personal es muy amable y servicial sobre todo Gabriel al que queremos dar las gracias por hacernos la estancia más cómoda. Está bien cuidado y limpio. Las habitaciones se comunican con el lavabo y ba?era a través de una cortinilla, la ba?era es grande y bastante alta para acceder a ella y si tienes problemas de movilidad es un handicap negativo a considerar. No hay intimidad. La cama es grande y cómoda. El hotel no es ruidoso pero la ciudad es ruidosa por lo que mejor llévate tapones por si acaso. Como las habitaciones dan a un patio interior mejor elegir las del segundo piso que tienen algo más de luz. Tienen una peque?a piscina en la que te puedes dar un remojón. Aunque el hotel dispone de desayuno te dan la opción de poder desayunar en sus otros dos hoteles sin coste adicional que son más variados, tienen un zumo de maracuya con coco buenísimo. Está muy bien úbicado, en el centro y rodeado de todo tipo de cosas, tiendas, restaurantes, ect.

The staff was very friendly and helpful despite not speaking much English. We were able to communicate with our broken Spanish. The room was cute, clean and wonderful, breakfast was also wonderful. We felt safe indoors despite outside was not safe. Only complaint is the wifi was not working for any of us, there were 4 of us on this reservation with different phone carriers and none of us were able to connect to the hotel wifi. Connecting to the wifi at the sister hotel down the street was fine and no issues.

Very charming boutique hotel in the center of Cartagena main touristic area. Rooms are beautiful, Cartegena's tradition style, staff is very helpful, even the small pool is charming in the hot weather. Breakfast was offered in nearby restaurants – very good

We had an absolutely amazing 10/10 stay at the Alfiz Hotel. This boutique property feels cozy and well cared for, making it the perfect home away from home. The location is unbeatable, right in the center of the walled city, with everything just steps away. The hotel and our room were immaculately clean, and we felt completely comfortable during our stay. The staff were exceptional, from the reception team to the breakfast chefs. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Security was also excellent. The front door remains locked at all times and guests buzz in, which gave us great peace of mind and made us feel very safe. Overall, Alfiz Hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cartagena.

The Alfiz hotel is well located and the staff is very helpful. As an older couple we had some difficulties. Our room was on the second floor and the upper banister did not easily reach the top steps and it required some contortions to ascend safely. Our bathtub/shower was difficult to get in and out of and there were no grab bars to help. The controls for the shower also filled the tub and drainage was poor so that one showered in ankle deep water. We explained this to the staff but it remained a problem. Because it is an older house there are several internal steps which are not well marked. It is easy to trip. Breakfast was good but limited to fruit, juice, eggs with toast or arepas and coffee or tea. There were no pastries or yogurt. I realize some of these issues may not be a problem for the young and agile but they were for us.

Hotel Alfiz is a definitely must stay place in Cartagena. The staff are wonderful. Polite, friendly, and very helpful. Especially Karina. The room (Pirate) we stayed in was perfect. The shower was awesome. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. They're not lying when they say the rooms are soundproof. We will be back.

Encantador hotel. Se trata de un peque?o hotel situado en una antigua y preciosa casa en el centro histórico de Cartagena, por tanto la ubicación es excelente. El trato y la amabilidad del personal también son esplendidas y el desayuno muy bueno.
