Guest：The place is beautiful and just what we wanted. It’s right in the center, you walk out right onto the busy streets of Cartagena in the walled city, yet it’s far enough away that it’s very quiet at night. It was very hot when we were there but the rooms ac was great and made it a very comfortable night. The pool is refreshing during the day and it’s nice to sit on the rooftop and have a glass of wine before going out. Service was amazing! Breakfast was delicious, the cooks were so friendly and accommodating. The receptionist Alejandra, was always on top of everything and make sure we had everything we needed. The other receptionists Maria & Karina were also very pleasant and always there to help answer questions and recommend places to visit or restaurants to eat at.

Guest：Hotel Alfiz is a definitely must stay place in Cartagena. The staff are wonderful. Polite, friendly, and very helpful. Especially Karina. The room (Pirate) we stayed in was perfect. The shower was awesome. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The breakfasts were excellent. They're not lying when they say the rooms are soundproof. We will be back.

Guest：The Alfiz hotel is well located and the staff is very helpful. As an older couple we had some difficulties. Our room was on the second floor and the upper banister did not easily reach the top steps and it required some contortions to ascend safely. Our bathtub/shower was difficult to get in and out of and there were no grab bars to help. The controls for the shower also filled the tub and drainage was poor so that one showered in ankle deep water. We explained this to the staff but it remained a problem. Because it is an older house there are several internal steps which are not well marked. It is easy to trip. Breakfast was good but limited to fruit, juice, eggs with toast or arepas and coffee or tea. There were no pastries or yogurt. I realize some of these issues may not be a problem for the young and agile but they were for us.

Guest：The staff was very friendly and helpful despite not speaking much English. We were able to communicate with our broken Spanish. The room was cute, clean and wonderful, breakfast was also wonderful. We felt safe indoors despite outside was not safe. Only complaint is the wifi was not working for any of us, there were 4 of us on this reservation with different phone carriers and none of us were able to connect to the hotel wifi. Connecting to the wifi at the sister hotel down the street was fine and no issues.
