Wow! We have had 10 days at this hotel and cannot fault anything at all. It’s spotlessly clean everywhere and the facilities are superb The heated pool is just lovely with plenty of sunbeds and parasols. The large hotel gardens are beautifully maintained and we enjoyed a guided tour of these. We stayed on a half board basis and both breakfast and dinner were plentiful and tasty. It’s a steep walk downhill into the centre but taxis back are cheap. The hotel is located in very peaceful surroundings and the hotel is relaxing and quiet. Don‘t expect loud or lively entertainment The staff are really friendly, helpful and professional. Fresh flowers in the bathroom, beautiful views from our Teide facing room/balcony to enjoy. Really sad to go home and certainly hope to return as many of the guests seem to have been coming for years. We are not surprised!

Wir waren auf Empfehlung von guten Freunden über den 1. Mai 2025 eine Woche im Hotel Tigaiga zu Gast und sehr zufrieden. Das Hotel ist in 3. Generation in Familienbesitz und profitiert von deren sehr umsichtigen Gesch?ftsführung. Das Geb?ude besteht seit Anfang den 1960-iger, was man teilweise auch noch gut erkennen kann, es wurde aber fortw?hrend renoviert und modernisiert. Unser Zimmer 202 war auf aktuellem Stand (wie sicher auch alle anderen Zimmer), insbesondere mit viel Platz und prima Ablagen und Haken im Bad und im Einbauschrank. Eine Klimaanlage scheint vorhanden zu sein, wir haben sie aber nicht ben?tigt / getestet. Die Lage ist auffallend ruhig, es war auch kein L?rm von Zimmernachbarn oder von Flur zu h?ren. Das lag sicher auch an den G?sten, die sich alle sehr umsichtig benommen haben. Das ist heute leider nicht mehr selbstverst?ndlich. Der Garten ist super gepflegt mit einer unglaublichen Pflanzenvielfalt (Motto: mehr Palmen als G?ste). Der Aufenthalt darin ist ein Genuss, wie auch das Frühstück auf der Terrasse (wetterabh?ngig) und der Aufenthalt am Pool (immer mit Blick auf Palmen). Das Frühstücksbuffet war immer lecker und reichhaltig, im á la Card Restaurant und im Halbpension-Restaurant (Salatbuffet, 2 Hauptspeisen zu Wahl) haben wir je 1 x gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Aussichtslage vom Garten und Pool ist beeindruckend. Die Zimmer ?Parkblick“ haben eine sch?ne Aussicht zum Garten und historischen Taora-Park, das n?chste Mal würden wir aber ein Zimmer mit ?Teideblick“ buchen, ganz vorne mit Blick auf den westlichen Garten und über Puerto de la Cruz (nachts ein Lichtermeer). Die Verkehrsanbindung mit Bussen ist gut (500 m ebener Fu?weg). Man kann aber durch den historischen Park binnen 20 Minuten nach Puerto de la Cruz hinunter wandern. Nur ist der Aufstieg sehr steil und beschwerlich (laut Google ca. 85 H?henmeter). Wir haben keine Verbesserungsvorschl?ge und kommen gerne wieder.

Hotel "Tigaiga" wundersch?n gelegen, die "Terrasse von Puerto de la Cruz" mit herzlichem Blick auf den Atlantik und zum Teide -Massiv. ein grüner Park l?dt zum Verweilen ein. Zimmer: Sauber und ger?umig, jeder Balkon mit Aussicht auf Berg und Meer. Restaurant: Licht durchl?ssiger heller Raum , Niveauvolles Frühstücksbuffet, bei HP jeden Abend 4-G?nge-Menü, Unterhaltung: Gesang und Tanz, hiesige Kultur, Mitarbeiter: Freundlich und korrekt, fragt nach Zusatz wünschen, Konzept des Hotels: Zeitgem?? auf Modernit?t und Nachhaltigkeit ausgerichtet. Ein sehr gemütliches kleines Familie geführtes Hotel.

Très bon h?tel Séjour de 3 nuits dans cette h?tel. Hotel bien placé avec des extérieures de haut niveau. Parking très pratique et sécurisé. Chambre avec un bon confort même s’il manque un frigo avec des boissons et une machine à café. Service et accueil très courtois. Grande piscine dont nous n’avons pas profité. Le centre ville est à 10 mn à pieds depuis l’h?tel.

Très bon h?tel. Hotel bien situé dans un endroit calme qui surplombe la ville: 10 mn à pieds du centre ville. Chambre de très bon confort même s’il manque un petit frigo avec des boissons et une machine à café. Le parking est hyper pratique et sécurisé. Les extérieures sont de haut niveau. Accueil et service très courtois.

My 6th stay in this lovely hotel. This time I was alone and wondering if I had made the right decision to go back to somewhere with so many happy memories of my late husband. However, it was absolutely the right thing to do. The hotel is so welcoming and friendly, most of the staff are the same as on previous visits. It felt like a home from home. The rooms are very comfortable, the gardens are beautiful and there are amazing views of the sea and Mount Teide. I really hope I'll be able to go back again next winter.

This is an amazing hotel. Very clean, quiet and with beautiful gardens. The staff are very friendly. Rooms are lovely too (with no noise from next door rooms or corridor). Breakfast was great with loads of choice. The location is great as well away from the noisy town but only 15 min walk (steep hills though).

The hotel is very clean and set in a beautiful garden with a good sized pool. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The family who run the hotel ensure that standards are maintained . We were particularly impressed with the assistance given to older guests . The variety of foods on offer at breakfast were impressive and no matter what time you ate there was still plenty to choose from. The hotel is situated on top of a hill with lots of steps which did keep us fit !

This is lovely hotel. This is our 3rd visit. Sadly, it is spoilt by adjacent building work. Rooms looking over the park will see builders and cranes working from 8 till 6. Its a shame it was such a peacefull hotel. Nothing the owners can do, maybe alert visitors when they book

A week at the family run Tigaiga Hotel was not long enough - we enjoyed every minute. The staff were friendly and efficient, the hotel clean and very well presented, the breakfast and evening meal excellent and the grounds and pool area a real delight. It was lovely to pull back the curtains in the morning to see Mt Teide rising from the clouds and views along the coast. Immediately outside the hotel is Parque Taora with numerous tropical trees and vegetation and the delightful stone built All Saints Church. The building site nearby (mentioned by others) did not impose although we spent little time by the pool. We found the environment to be very quiet and relaxing. Access down (and back up) to the old town of Puerto de la Cruz and the sea front is via numerous steps and slopes but we didn't find it a problem (we are in our early 70's) although a reasonable level of fitness is advised. We walked along the coast to the viewpoint at Mirador St Pedro (13 miles return) and up to La Orotava (10 miles return) - both well worth a visit but do involve some steep sections. We hope to return next year.
