When I asked the front desk questions, they were very apathetic and lacked customer service. Completely different from any other Four Seasons I’ve visited before. It took me hours to have clean towels brought to our room, and dirty dishes were never taken on replenished from our room (like coffee mugs).

We had a very enjoyable stay at the Four Seasons Santa Fe, spending several nights in a beautiful suite with both an indoor and outdoor fireplace—perfect for a cozy, restful experience. Room service was consistently very good, both the food and the cocktails, and the overall quality was high throughout our stay. One highlight was the fire concierge, which added a thoughtful and memorable touch to the evenings and really reinforced the sense of relaxation. While service at the bar was occasionally a bit slow, the staff was gracious and the drinks were excellent, so it didn’t detract significantly from the experience. One practical note: I strongly recommend reserving spa treatments well in advance. The spa was fully booked for most of our stay, and we weren’t able to get appointments without prior planning. Overall, a serene and luxurious retreat that we would happily return to.

Went to Terra for my first time at Four Seasons in Santa Fe and it was great! Our waiter Kevin was so kind and attentive. The food was delicious, and the resort is gorgeous!

A nearby favorite local hangout for entertaining guests or stopping by for a quick bite, especially the M-F happy hour from 3pm to 5pm. Recently shared happy hour drinks and assorted snacks and it didn't disappoint. The drinks and bites were prepared perfectly. When not busy, the service is exceptional as it was during this recent visit. Great to have this option nearby.

Booked here at the last minute as trip to national parks on hold due to government shutdown. We have stayed at Four Seasons resorts throughout the world.. most recently at Gresham Palace in Budapest, Four Seasons Jackson Hole and the Four Seasons in Rabat. All of these were excellent. Rancho Encantado doesn’t come close. It isn’t in the same league and frankly does not live up to the Four Seasons standards . Service is poorly lacking. Unprofessional throughout. We booked as a family 2 casitas. Upon arrival asked that they be close to one another. Was told that the property was “completely committed “ and the rooms were close together. Actually- the rooms were not close together and when booking it appeared that every room category was available. We asked if there was any possibility of an upgrade.. no no no was the response. There was absolutely no recognition whatsoever that we had stayed at numerous Four Seasons properties on many many occasions over the years. As we were staying two nights we asked the front desk clerk if we could be moved the following night. He said he needed to check with the manager- who was nowhere to be found. We asked specifically to speak to the manager. He never got back to us, however the front desk clerk called us hours later- they begrudgingly agreed to move us closer together. Separately- at check in- around 4pm- asked for the concierge who was nowhere to be found and had left for the day. Huh??!!! No one at the front desk had any idea which parks were open or not. What is this? Amateur hour? Have never been so disappointed by a Four Seasons property.

Tucked in highlands overlooking the desert, this hotel as all the amenities and excellent service you would expect. Highlights: we did the bike tour of the valles caldera. worth every penny. beautiful lush scenery you’d think you were in montana not new mexico. guide takes you there e-bikes are the bomb, scenery instagram worthy. don’t hesitate to ask them to light the fire in your casita. special experience to fall asleep by the fire. pool is a pleasant 83 degrees. do the sunrise hike off the back of the resort. beautiful. short 15 min drive to santa fe.

My husband and I stayed here last week and thought it was wonderful. The entire property is very quiet and relaxing. The staff were outstanding—every team member made a point to ask if we needed anything and were consistently helpful. Our casita was comfortable and private, and we thoroughly enjoyed spending time on the patio. We took advantage of the complimentary shuttle to the downtown area each day. In addition to recommending restaurants and making dinner reservations, the shuttle dropped us off and provided a return trip, which was incredibly convenient. We also enjoyed the short, easy trail located behind the property. Upon arrival, there was a small snafu with our reservation. The manager personally greeted us with a sincere apology, explained the situation, and made things right. A big thank you to Andres for his professionalism and kindness. The only downside was our experience at the Terra restaurant—we didn’t care for the dinner. However, our waitress was excellent.

We chose the Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado in Santa Fe to celebrate our anniversary. During my massage, the therapist applied oil directly to my hair without asking. My hair was drenched, and I had no way to fix it before our anniversary dinner—it left me feeling uncomfortable on what should have been a special night. I reported the issue to the hotel and followed up by email, but I never received a reply. At this level of property, I expected acknowledgment and a simple apology at minimum. Four Seasons is known for its service philosophy, and I hope management reviews this situation so other guests aren’t put in the same position. The rest of the property is beautiful, but the lack of response to a clear service issue was disappointing.

This is a beautiful property. Our room (casita???) was beautiful and elegant. The staff at the resort were all friendly and helpful. The food at the on-site Terra restaurant was excellent. I highly recommend the Dulce de Leche Warm Cake for dessert, but know that it's big enough for two people, so bring a friend! It was one of the best dessert experiences I have had anywhere.

I stayed at the Four Seasons Santa Fe for an early Christmas trip with my partner and his parents, and we had an absolutely lovely time. This property definitely lives up to the Four Seasons name, and was a really relaxing and beautiful place to unwind for a few days in the high desert of New Mexico. The sunsets from the bar's terrace are breathtaking. The resort is a short drive (about 15-20 minutes) to downtown Santa Fe, and its about a 45 minute drive to Bandelier National Monument which was surprisingly cool as a self-guided day trip. My partner and I stayed in a Rancho Suite, which was AMAZING, and my parents-in-law stayed in a Vista Casita. All of the rooms are recently renovated, and feel fresh, and have a modern, chic, and sophisticated style with a distinctly New Mexican touch. The Rancho Suite was incredibly spacious - huge, really - with a large living room, large bedroom, gigantic full bathroom / dressing area, and a separate powder room. And the signature Four Seasons mattress and bedding - honestly its my favorite part of staying at a Four Seasons! The Suite also had a large outdoor patio, and two fireplaces, one indoor and outdoor. I would highly recommend upgrading to the Suite, if possible to feel like you're really treating yourself. The Vista Casita, which my parents-in-law stayed in, was also incredibly tasteful and thoughtful in its interior design and furnishings - but I was just blown away by the suite! The difference between the Rancho Suite and Encantado Suite is apparently the view, with the Encantado Suite having one, and the Rancho Suite not. The view from the Rancho Suite was terrestrial, not too bad, with desert landscaping and such. It is worth calling and speaking to someone at the resort after booking if you are particular about your view - I was surprised to see the resort's layout after arriving, which isn't easy to understand from the online photos - some of the casitas look like they have views more directly onto the parking area, or are nearer to other casitas - while other casitas look like they are naturally positioned to be facing a more private direction. Two other great, and complementary, amenities of the resort are - you can reserve a private hot tub area via the spa - which we took advantage of each day - this might be harder to reserve when the resort is busy. And, there is a really scenic hiking trail that starts right from the resort, and has great views of the surrounding landscape, local plants, and wasn't too challenging for a novice (it had some steep bits, so at times a workout!) But, it was nice to do a hike without having to drive to a trailhead. The service was superb, with all of the team being friendly, and making us feel welcome. Each night we had the "fire butler" come and light our fireplaces. The hotel also provides complementary s'more kits / marshmallow roasting kits, which was a really cute touch.
