We have stayed at this hotel more than six times, and every visit feels better than the last. What makes this place truly special is the outstanding hospitality from the staff—something you simply cannot find anywhere else. Restaurant Team Special appreciation goes to Mr. Samantha, Mr. Suranga, Mr. Dimuthu, Mr. Suban, Mr. Saman, Mr. Wishwa, and Mr. Irosh. Whenever they are at the restaurant, they make you feel completely at home. We have known them since 2022, and each time we visit, their warm welcome and genuine care make our stay unforgettable. Front Office & Guest Relations Miss Chamindi always greets us with a smile and incredible hospitality. She is one of the reasons we feel so valued and why we always look forward to returning. Pool & Recreation At the pool, Mr. Upul Mr. Nuwan stands out with their friendly service and guidance. His attentiveness ensures every moment by the pool is enjoyable and stress-free. Rooms & Housekeeping The rooms are spacious, very clean, and offer excellent sea views. Hats off to the housekeeping team for maintaining such a high standard. Final Thoughts This is not just a hotel—it’s a second home because of the people who work here. Their dedication, warmth, and genuine care are what make this one of the best hotels in Sri Lanka. We will definitely visit again, as it is the amazing staff who make this hotel truly exceptional.

This was our second stay. We love this hotel and staff. Nuwan, Upul and Laksiri ( pool guys) keep the grounds immaculate, are welcoming, friendly and make sure you get as much relaxation as you want. They are genuinely kind people that we enjoyed visiting with. They were so excited to tell us of some of the new upgrades by the pool and take so much pride in their jobs. The front desk staff are also so kind and greet you every day. The food is phenomenal with great service. The food managers and servers could not be any better! The rooms are some of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in and we stay in very nice hotels. We can’t wait to visit again! Thank you Fortress !!

Perfect place to unwind and relax. The staff are so nice, everyone acknowledges you and will help with anything you need. The pool area is never too crowded and the view is amazing. They even have a small turtle nesting area and let the baby turtles out in the sea when they hatch. Only constructive feedback I would give the hotel is to up their food quality a bit and perhaps explain their guests about how breakfast works a bit better - we were so confused. Also, I had a message, which was nice - but the price of 18.500 LKR is obscenely expensive for what you actually get (there is not even a consultation before to meet expectations of the message, which I would expect for that much money) But overall, I would not hesitate in booking again!!

The Fortress is a simply magnificent Resort. This beach front Resort has all the facilities you can ever want for a relaxing and truly enjoyable experience. (pools, spa, gym, great restaurants and Bar, delicious and an array of foods just to name a few.) The staff are amazing, very hospitable and always welcoming and friendly. We travelled from Australia and stayed two nights in the Ocean room which was very spacious and clean with all the facilities you need. We had our Wedding Ceremony at the Fortress and there is simply no words to describe the wonderful experience we had. Every aspect of our wedding ceremony was professionally and meticulously arranged by the staff at the Fortress. From organising the necessary marriage documents to the floral arrangements, wedding bouquets and bower, decorations, cake, celebrant, music, photography, special celebratory dinner, and the list goes on., we couldn’t have been happier with all of these things and the very best service we received at the Fortress. A special mention to our wedding coordinator ‘GAYANI’ who went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding ceremony was successful and memorable. Her attention to detail and dedication to make sure we were happy with all the arrangements is something we will always remember and be grateful for. From the time we arrived until we checked out the service was exceptional. All the staff never fail to smile and greet us. The food was delicious & the atmosphere was refreshing.

A fantastic hotel right on the beach, with an fabulous infinitely pool. The service was amazing, and the food in the hotel was excellent. I enjoyed the massage in the spa so much that I had another one the next day. I will definitely return.
