My Wife and I do not normally give reviews, but on this occasion, we are making an exception. We stayed at The Clifton at Paignton in November for five nights. The proprietors Steven and Claire were incredibly helpful, friendly and made us feel at home. The room décor was modern and stylish, and the bed was super comfy. The room had complementary tea and coffee facilities. The full English breakfast was first-rate and very reasonably priced. The hotel was in a perfect central location, with easy access to bus/train stations, made exploring the local tourist spots easy, without the need of your car. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We travelled around Cornwall st Ives & Newquay then on to Clifton at Paignton the first 2 we stayed at were very disappointing. Then we came to the Clifton run by steven&claire brunn who were very welcoming, the guest house was very clean, our room was excellent will recommend to anyone who is going on holiday their. A wonderful find , close to the beach and main street. Quite clean and very welcoming . Hosts are absolutely lovely. National trust sites are a delight to visit and lots of really good restaurants in walking distance. If you fancy a treat drive to Cattlemans, we'll worth the 10 minutes drive.

My husband and I booked a last minute break so we picked The Clifton at Paignton. We arrived to a stunning beautiful place, just yards from the seafront. The owner Steve greeted us with a lovely warm and friendly welcome. He was so helpful, carried our cases to the rooms for us as my husband has a heart condition. We settled into our room, a lovely snug, beautiful decorated room with a selection of tea, coffee biscuits. Steve was so knowledgeable and so attentive to our needs. Such a credit to his family, to Claire and himself. Can’t wait to go again

From the moment we booked to arriving and our stay, couldn't fault the Clifton, the hosts Claire and Steve really make this a home from home and make you feel so welcome, the parking for us is a big plus and the fact you can pay as you go for breakfast, so if you just fancy a sausage butty then you can just order and pay for that. I can really see why people come back here and we as a family will definately becoming back, thank you for making us feel welcome and nothing is ever too much trouble, a lovely establishment and amazing hosts. Just returned home after a lovely week stay at The Clifton at Paignton! The owners Steve and Claire are the nicest people ever and make you feel instantly welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for them and go above and beyond to make you happy. The hotel is perfectly situated and literally a stone throw from the beach. Rooms are clean and comfortable and breakfast was yummy. The pay as you go breakfast option was perfect as some days we didn't want full English. Car parking was a big plus for us too . All the other guest there on on our stay were regular guest and we can see the reason for that and as like them I'm sure this will become our regular now for our yearly visit to Paignton. Just enjoyed 4 days at The Clifton in Paignton. Lovely greeting from Steve who helped us to our room with luggage. We have 2 teenage boys and they had an interconnecting room with their own TV etc which was ideal for us. We booked room only, but you can add breakfast throughout your stay if wanted. Rooms lovely comfortable and clean. Ideal location for town and beach. Thank you for a lovely stay and will see you again soon.

Such a lovely little place, the location is perfect pretty much on the waterfront and pier, excellent customer services, Steve was very welcoming and showed us to our room when we arrived even offered to carry our bags although we did insist there was no need, we stayed 2 nights and the beds are comfy, the room was so lovely with all the little details they put in too make the room as lovely as it was and every where was pristinely clean; will definitely stay again ?? thank you

My experience from the minute I arrived has just been so good Claire and Steve couldn't do enough for me to make sure my stay was perfect 2 of the nicest and honest people I have met the Clifton is a lovely family run B&B that I will definitely use for work or a holiday with the kids as its the perfect location for everything in the area highly recommended
