I rented a beach front bungalow for 6 nights. They have 2 pools, one of which is very good for swimming. It was very silent and relaxing. The bungalows was basic but cozy and you have all you need. My bungalow was 20 m from the beach. Within a short walk (100-200 m) there was a busy street with a lot of restaurants and shops. Unfortunately, you cannot swim in the sea because of low water level and very stony ground within the water. I wouldn’t call it ?wellness Resort“ either like the other reviews. I did not see wellness treatments and nothing was offered to me. It is called Loyfa but all the staff had shirts with ?Holina“ on it. No alcohol policy, which I just acknowledged at the property itself. I cannot recommend the restaurant. The buffet is very basic but expensive and they were not flexible with the normal menu, but the small village is close.
Beautiful views. HOWEVER ends there. Upon checking in I was informed that there is no alcohol or narcotics with the explanation that it is a “wellness resort”. Fine. Juice and shakes I thought would be fine. The beautiful bars that decorate the resort are entirely shut down limiting food and drink options. And any “wellness” amentities are only offered to the recovery center patients - NOT REGULAR GUESTS. Big oversight and hugely misleading. I’m assuming this change recently happened because no where is this CLEARLY listed on their website or third party sites like ***********. Ironically so,the remnants of it being a true wellness resort exist on site: plenty of signs offering margaritas and massages etc. It’s a wellness GHOST town. Meals here are a bit strange as they are buffet style and communal. At first I was confused as to why everyone knew each other. I figured it was a yoga thing or a religious thing or corporate team building. Totally clueless that they are in recovery. I had to do a bit of digging to find out why people looked a bit sad like they were forced to be here. Receptionist was very nice however did not provide any options to make it right … as it’s bone dry. Do not book if you’re looking for a romantic or solo getaway.
Tired in need of some tlc ...when the.direction sign is missing letters not great . Would have had a drink at pool bar but cash only .l wanted to charge it to our room so never bothered again Overpriced and not a luxury resort sadly we will not return
Fabulous location, with a 20 metre swimming pool with fantastic views over the ocean and a shallower family pool , easy walking distance to yoga, gyms, restaurants, food markets, motorcycle rental on site. Loyfa offer a pick up / drop off from the ferry boat piers. Idyllic quiet private beach with more than enough new sun loungers around the pools and beach. Great buffet breakfast inc fruits, cereals, cooked eggs, bacon, rice etc.. in the restaurant overlooking the sea. The friendly welcoming staff are all excellent at their jobs, from the great welcoming reception staff, cleaners and gardeners keeping the area clean and tidy daily. We had a beach/sea view villa for three weeks, and the sea view villa with loungers overlooking samui for 2 nights. We always stay here on our trips to koh phangan and recommend loyfa for couples and families.
It’s a good resort right on the beach with lovely sea views and it would be perfect for younger people! It’s quite hilly and somewhat challenging at time. Room and bathroom adequate and the balcony/ terrace fantastic. Comfortable bed. We stayed in a suite overlooking the bay towards Koh Samui. Shops and restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good overlooking the smaller pool and sea. Staff were helpful.
