Nice updated rooms but a bit noisy, you hear everything in the adjacent rooms.
Also near the ferry with a 6 am wake-up call from the ferry horn every morning !
Also parking is very limited on the property but additional parking is available down the street, a short walk !
Staff was awesome. Room it self was a bit dated. It walking distance from ferry and downtown. We didn't need to drive too much. The beach was in in the bay area. There was a tug boat docked at our...beach.
The room was tastefully furnished and clean. The hotel balcony overlooked the harbor and got morning sun: I had my morning coffee there. Staff respected my wish to not be disturbed during my 4-day stay but were present when I needed them. Water was hot and abundant. Hotel wifi was glitch-less and fast enough for my needs. Ferries to the mainland were within easy walking distance from the hotel, even with luggage (and taxis are readily available if you prefer to ride). Also within walking distance is a supermarket, an art theatre and plenty of restaurants (but no bars because Tisbury is a dry town). Local transit buses pass in front of the hotel and connect to all Island points (including to bars in nearby Oak Bluffs).
The hotel is comfortable, convenient and low cost (for the Island): what more do you need?
The staff were lovely and very helpful, parking easy and the room was clean. The private beach was lovely and the location of the motel is convenient for the town and good touring the island.
We stayed here for an overnight and were pleasantly surprised by this motel. It is a basic accommodation, but very clean with a comfortable bed free coffee, great location and very reasonably priced. We will certainly stay here again in the future. Highly recommend it for the price!
I did not choose a room with “ocean(harbor) view” so that’s on me! However4 doors down we could get a great view of VH Harbor, tall ships, etc. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
The property is an older property so it shows some wear & tear. However, bathroom facility was cleN, hot water was all you could ask for, beds were very comfortable, and each bed had a variety of pillows to satisfy your preferences.
Access to the harbor beach is perfect where there is (surprise!!!) a brick BBQ near/on the beach.
I would stay there again without any doubt.
Great location and super friendly staff
Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Room was clean, and the ferry is just a short walk. My only critique is that the bathroom window has no shade or frosted glass, so people walking down the sidewalk or driving by can see right in.
When we told the manager that my husband could not walk upstairs, they upgraded us to the oceanfront suite. It was lovely and had a newly renovated kitchen. We had a very nice stay!
