We arrived 10 days after the hotel opened and had expected teething troubles. Neither the building nor the staff were ready for guests. 24 hours before we were due to fly, we were given the option from jet2 to change or cancel. The most stressful run up to a holiday ever, customer service was completely bereft from Jet2, scripted answers to concerns, very disappointing. Positives: Food was generally good, excellent pizzas, amazing views, staff were in the main attentive. Cleaner was good. Cocktails were good. Massage was good but the daily visits from the team to ask if I wanted another became a nuisance. Negatives: Leaking roof in our bedroom throughout our stay, failed attempts to fix this. The balcony door frame was essentially detached from the wall and a concerning gap held together with a few screws. a think layer of dust from the continued work that we cleaned ourselves, communal corridors were filthy albeit this improved towards the end of out stay. general finish of room was poor. USB-c port didn't work. Pool area had rough concrete, cracked tiles, lights sitting on the bottom of the pool, litter left from previous day. The gym was at this point tiny with broken equipment. Lots of items marketed by the hotel and jet2 were not available, eg bluetooth speakers, app to order drinks and sunbed beverage service for which you may be lucky and get one drink a day but most of the time you had to visit the bar. We made the most of our holiday and due to others cancelling and the hotel being very quiet we had no issue getting sunbeds which were very comfortable. Yes there is a road right outside but the views compensate for it. The hotel has potential but I don't think it has 5 star potential. It's very isolated so unless you want to lie on a lounger everyday prepare for day trips. Would we return, no.
Enjoyed a fantastic weeks stay at the Valmar at the end of October. First time in a 5 star hotel and the difference in the holiday was incredible. Lovely hotel, very high quality in its presentation, and facilities. The roof sky deck, the adults only area pool, and the well kept basketball and tennis courts all used each day to their fullest. The staff at the hotel were so kind and helpful. I enjoyed my birthday while there and they made it a very special day. Even went back to my room at the end of the night to find a birthday cake and champagne waiting. Really made the day for me. Food was excellent with a lot of choice. And for those looking to eat out as well, there were a few nice taverners in walking distance. We got lucky with the weather at this time of year and had 6 days of sun, 20.c. The place would be even better in the peak summer, when the sky deck bars and restaurant are fully open all day. Overall loved the stay, and am planning a full week in summer 2026
Loved our stay at the Valmar in October! We had a superior triple room with Mountain View which had more than enough space for us both. Comfortable beds, fantastic hot shower. Slippers and bathrobes in the rooms. Ability to cast from our own devices onto the TV in the room which was welcomed as we don’t generally get involved with evening entertainment. We arrived late on an evening flight and were greeted warmly with a complimentary cold drink. There was wine and kumkuats in our room and sandwiches and wraps alongside a stocked mini fridge. Service was exemplary. Our room was cleaned daily and staff knocked each evening to offer more bottled water, fresh towels and even to turn down the beds and leave chocolates. We only ate in the buffet restaurant as we don’t eat fish and the a la carte menus didn’t appeal. The food was fantastic, great salads, plenty of choice. We also ate pizza once from the family pool bar which was delicious and got fruit, a cheese burger and a falafel wrap from the beach snack bar. The choice here was great. We also arranged a lunch bag with reception to take on an excursion which contained a sandwich, two pieces of fruit, two slices of cake, a bottle of water and carton of juice. Easy to arrange and collect. We aren’t big alcohol drinkers so only sampled a few cocktails and the local zorbas beer but really enjoyed the strawberry lemonade and iced coffees from all the bars. The beach area is small and rocky so beach shoes are a must, the facilities at the beach are great and while bottle service was a little irregular, it was no great issue to get up and order your own drinks. There are fish in the shallow part of the sea but it’s lovely to swim here and watch the planes landing and taking off overhead. The sunbeds at the pools are the most comfortable sunbeds I have ever experienced. It was near the end of the season so luckily there wasn’t any pool activities at the adult pool as I generally avoid these and find it annoying to be disturbed on holiday. The pool is freshwater and not heated. The facilities are good and as at the beach, towels are readily available. The hotel has been refurbished beautifully. The restaurant is well lit and furnished nicely with the option to sit outside to eat under an awning. We enjoyed sitting in the comfortable chairs outside the front of the hotel and watching the sun rise over the sea. The beach bar has fun little beanbag chairs. The rooftop was nice too although we had a few days of rain and the chair cushions were removed and not put back out before we went home. There is perhaps a lack of places to sit inside (but outside of your room) if there is bad weather as unfortunately we did a few days! All the staff we encountered were so friendly and polite, they couldn’t do anything more to make you feel welcome. We never had to carry our own suitcases from the moment we arrived and you are always welcomed back in through the door. Svetlana gave us roses from the bunch on
We stayed at the Valmar end of September/beginning of October and was fully aware of the sickness problem at the hotel by all the negative reviews. I suffer from emetaphobia ( phobia of sick) and really struggle in these situations. We tried to move hotels before we travelled but Jet2 were extremely unhelpful, pretending there was no problem when everyone clearly knew there was. We had no choice but to travel or just lose all our money we paid. On arrival we didn’t receive any welcome drink like others so that seems to be inconsistent, didn’t bother us but not the same experience for everyone. We then had to sign a disclaimer on check in about sickness and there were signs up in the hotel, hardly reassuring. Food was nice but there is no not plates for the food which meant the food was cold. This needs to be addressed. Staff were helpful and lovely and the views are stunning. Entertainment was lacklustre. In our opinion this is not a 5 star luxe hotel and the branding from Jet 2 and the social media of the hotel is incorrect and misleading. The hotel seems to be very confused who it is marketing, couples or families. Personally I would not bring my child to this hotel. The pools are absolutely freezing like stepping in to an ice bath, facilities not like other 5 star hotels and no children’s buffet or anything in the restaurant. If you are looking for a family holiday there is much better options. This hotel is made from the views and the staff but we would not return. This holiday was the worst we have ever had and the complete lack of acknowledgement from both the hotel and Jet2 about the sickness was disgusting. More vulnerable people and children could have been at risk and they knowingly sent us somewhere knowing there was an issue and completely downplaying it like we are ******. We took all precautions, washed hands regularly, antibac, I wouldn’t use the lift, didn’t sit in the bar to mix with people but my partner was still ill.
We had a fantastic family stay at Valmar Corfu in June 2025! The place is beautiful, peaceful, and very well maintained. Our room was spotless with a great view, and the pool area was perfect for relaxing. The staff were so friendly and always ready to help with a smile — they really made us feel at home. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with plenty of local options. The location is great too — close to the beach and just a short drive from Corfu Town. Overall, a perfect spot for a relaxing family holiday. We’d love to return!
The hotel is fabulous! It has all the things you would hope for and expect from an all-inclusive family hotel and a beautiful view to go with it! Highly recommend.
We had the most incredible stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of. The second we came to the resort Kostas Plaskasovitis the Quality Director at the front desk so kindly helped us with everything we needed and he made us feel so welcome. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and super comfortable. The facilities were excellent..we loved the pools, Snackeria, the restaurants, and all the little touches that made the experience special. Loved the live entertainment. Really was enjoyable. The girls who sang and had the violin were perfection. Everything exceeded our expectations, and it truly felt like a relaxing getaway. We’re already talking about coming back it was that good!
Our second visit to this wonderful hotel and it just keeps getting better and better. The food is amazing, as are the drinks but the thing that makes this hotel outstanding are the staff, they are all fantastic. I’ll try to remember as many as I can who deserve a special mention. The amazing bartender at the family pool, so hardworking and always smiling. Loved the days the live music was on the adults pool and family pool, especially the violinist, amazing. Reception staff are outstanding, nothings any bother, Eftychia was a lovely girl. Also the doormen with the buggy, Spyros recognized us as soon as we arrived. Elena, our lovely waitress and Despoina deserve a special mention in the main restaurant. Just lovely ladies, big hugs to them both. Also a huge thank you to manager kostas Plaskasovitis, he is a fantastic man, pleasure to meet and have a drink with him. Wish I could thank you all Valmar team, miss you already, but we’ll be back next year.
