Horrible location and mold in the bathroom ! When I ask what they can do about mold in the bathroom the receptionist dismiss my concerns.

Was booked at this hotel by a tour organiser being the the meet up Hotel. Personally I would not have chosen it as it is too far from the centre of San Jose. Also it would too noisy at night with members of staff talking loud amongst each other. Nice pool area though!

Pros Cheap Pool area kind of nice Cons Chinese people who live at the hotel talk really loudly well into the night. The hotel was adequate, the rooms, whilst dated, were functional with comfortable beds and plenty of space. We did walk into the centre of San Jose from the hotel, which was fine during the day, but I'm not sure if we would have felt comfortable to do so at night. The pool area was well laid out and clean. We really enjoyed the breakfast!

Searched around for somewhere with a good price and secure parking with breakfast included and this met my requirements. Rooms are rather dated but perfectly clean. The large pool looked good and there is surrounding vegetation. Breakfast was ample and served from a buffet (selection was limited but there were few guests). There is a restaurant open in the evening serving chinese food. The menu is limited and you order direct with the chef who doesn't seem to understand spanish or english. In the end I got what I wanted and it was good. It is a short walk (3 mins) to Macdonalds and taco Bell if that is your thing. Going further involves some interesting busy road crossings, but Soda Tapia is only a few minutes further away.
