We were only here a night, but loved it. The place is going through a bit of a transition so not everything is perfect, but they're doing their very best. It's a very interesting layout - built into the side of a cliff so you walk down to the reception, the eating area and the rooms. Great views. We got our first view of Adam's Peak when sat outside having a drink. We were asked if we wanted some food and were brought an amazing selection of curry. One of the best we ate! Perfectly placed for climbing the mountain which is an incredible experience. The hotel owner was so helpful and great to talk to. We wish him all the very best with the continued work on the place! But it's already well worth staying at. Thank you.

Covid not only throttled tourism but closed Adams Peak, so it's little wonder hotels are taking time to recover, so I'm overlooking the paused construction that left some fittings and decoration to be done. We were in spacious comfortable family rooms of two and three doubles. Chairs are Sri Lankan customary plastic stackables. The blankets are probably too hot for westerners but locals shocked by the cold of the 20c temperature like them. In July we didn't need more than the thick nets at the window, and we didn't see insects so didn't want nets over the bed either. The shower 'geezer' only lasts five mins no matter how long you switch in in advance for but can come out steaming. The sink shelf needed refixing with bigger rawlplugs but apart from that it's the usual modern wetroom although as with virtually every establishment of any grade the towels are past their sell by date so you may want to bring your own as a general rule in the country. The concrete interior is a bit military dorm bit once past that you are in a room or diner with balcony view to the valley with view of temple on at summit between clouds. The owner is well versed in local goings on and is helpful. We didn't discuss the bits and pieces he might lend others, but we noticed he was serving breakfast at 2am for sunrise seekers after finishing our dinner at 9pm. Catering is the biggest surprise here, it's supposed to be a B&B but they not only serve hot drinks and meals in evenings but my Sri Lankan family tell me it was the best they on our holiday. There's no menu officially, but they do rice or noodles and curry and veg and can do egg rice for plainer palettes and fruit juice, yoghurt, egg and toast for breakfast alongside Sri Lanka rotti. Giving five stars for value, hosting and food.

We only needed a room for a few hours rest before climbing Adams Peak and this was perfect. Clean and spacious room and bathroom. The host was really helpful and cooked a delicious dinner for us as well as the very welcome breakfast after our walk. Highly recommended as very convenient for anyone doing the night climb of Adams Peak
