I fell in love with Orchy Bank House, and the fabulous couple who own/run it. Melinda & Nick were extremely friendly and went above & beyond to provide a lovely experience. On all my future trips, I will stay with them. This location is beautiful and private. I loved sitting outside to admire the ducks that come for breakfast every morning and the array of wild birds that continuously flutter around the yard as they also are fed and adored. The River Orchy flows under the bridge and right past the house. Quite lovely and peaceful. Rooms were very spacious and clean and with wonderful views. The entire place is just lovely, and the Scottish Breakfast is delicious. A perfect egg every time! :) Located in Dalmally in a quiet little valley. If you wish to visit Oban and the islands, it is just a short drive away. Orchy Bank House is located very close to Kilchurn Castle and St. Conan's Kirk on Loch Awe. It is also a lovely drive up from Inveraray where you can tour Inveraray Castle. But mostly I encourage you to walk around the yard and take in the views and peaceful atmosphere. Watch the ducks and birds that are plentiful. I had a red squirrel run into my rental car out the other side while I had the doors open! As I was enjoying the quiet of the early morning outside, I even filmed a small robin catching and eating her breakfast. I guess it's true. The early bird really does get the worm! Stay for the peace, the natural beauty, and the friendliness of the lovely hosts. You won't regret it.

We only spent one night at this inn but it was wonderful! The hosts were hospitable, the setting was beautiful, it was exceptionally clean, and the breakfast was amazing! Would be best with a car as it's somewhat remote, but it's nice for nature lovers and just enjoying the beauty of the area. We walked from the train station. Good value, too.

We enjoyed our stay at Orchy Bank House very much. Our bedroom was extremely clean, of a good size, had a great shower and the bed was very comfortable. We used the visitors lounge in the evenings. There was a good choice of food for breakfast and it was all very tasty. It was lovely to hear the ducks in the garden at breakfast time. It is set in a peaceful location. Thank you for a lovely stay and we will return when next in the area.

We received such a warm welcome at Orchy Bank. Our room was lovely, very clean and a great view of the river and mountains. Breakfast was delicious. Our host made us very welcome.

A wonderful stay at a beautiful place. The host was so very welcoming and helpful. A great breakfast in the morning of our departure and then our host gave us suggestions of places to visit that were close by - it turned out to be one of the very best days of our trip.

This was our second visit to Orchy Bank Guest House. We had only stayed for one night previously and decided to return for a longer stay. Just as we had remembered it last year, the guest house is fantastic - spotlessly clean, great hosts, comfy bed, good shower, wonderful breakfast, and a beautiful tranquil location.

Stunning location, the views are fantastic! Our room was very cozy and we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The breakfast was delicious and offered a view of the ducks in the pond. The hosts gave us really good tips about a cozy side road to drive instead of the main road and few tips of local gems to go see. There is so much to see around the area that I recommend staying a few days.

Amazingly clean with excellent breakfast and great hosts. Room was very comfortable affording the best night's sleep in a week. Beautiful setting. It is probably best visited with a vehicle but we managed by train and foot.

When a fabulous place. The rooms and the house are beautiful. Renovated to a high standard. Luxurious rooms, beautiful surroundings and a fantastic breakfast. Absolutely going back.

Everything was great at Orchy Bank Guest House, modern, comfortable very clean accommodation. Breakfast was delicious, the hosts went out of their way to provide anything you wanted at breakfast. Missed having a television in the bedroom but the lovely lounge had a big screen TV that made up for it.
