Great location. Friendly Bar. Good value for money. Hadn't been to Loch Awe for many years. It's a wonderful place with lots to do. Inveraray Escape Room and Jail was excellent. Highland Games were on. Went fishing in our canoe. Several castles to see. It was incredibly peaceful at Ardbrecknish. It's an excellent base for a holiday in this area, particularly if you like getting outdoors. Left feeling very relaxed and the batteries are recharged.

Alles nicht mehr auf dem neuesten Stand, aber das macht es ja gerade so charmant! Wir haben das Haus geliebt! Es gibt einen einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Loch Awe und Ziele wie Loch Ness, Glennfinnan Viadukt und Glasgow sind leicht zu erreichen!

Absolut ruhiges Umfeld, sch?ner Ausblick. Turmzimmer im Upper Tower ist der perfekte Ort zum Lesen. Die Einrichtung ist zweckm??ig, es fehlen jedoch liebevolle Details, die die R?ume/Unterkunft gemütlicher machen, z.B. Wolldecken im Turmzimmer, mehr Deko an den W?nden, ein paar Extras wie z.B. Gewürze, Essig, ?l...... Einkaufsm?glichkeiten sind weiter entfernt, wenig Verpflegungsalternativen zur Selbstversorgung, daher am besten mit einem Gro?einkauf für den gesamten Aufenthalt ausstatten. Handtücher wurden durch unsere vorherige Ankündigung bereits bei Ankunft zur Verfügung gestellt. Zudem 1 Flasche Wasser, da das Leitungswasser etwas braun ist, trotz Trinkwasserqualit?t. Das Wlan hat nach anf?nglichen Schwierigkeiten fast durchg?ngig funktioniert. Heizung und elektr. Ger?te waren funktionsf?hig. Nur das Licht bei der Dunstabzugshaube in der Küche ging nicht. In der Küche ist das Deckenlicht sehr steril. Sch?n w?re hier noch eine kleinere, w?rmere Lichtquelle für l?ngere Aufenthalte. Im Bad sieht man die Feuchtigkeit des alten Geb?udes, an manch anderen Stellen merkt man es an den Tapeten. Eine Renovierung mancher Zimmer würde die Unterkunft aufwerten. Bar/Restaurant war w?hrend unseres Aufenthalts geschlossen, wurde aber in der Mail vorab bereits angekündigt. Alles in allem hatten wir eine sch?ne Zeit dort und alles was n?tig war. Comfortable, clean self catering property in the heart of stunning countryside and right next to Loch Awe.

This is a lovely venue in a great location. There was some issues around staffing for bar and restaurant on the week that we were there but this was a minor inconvenience for us. We had 4 apartments for the week and we all loved the accommodation. Also met Sarah, the owner, she was very friendly, helpful and understanding. We shall definitely be back.

Comfortable self-catering accommodation. We stayed in a well-equipped studio, with a small kitchen, comfortable bed and a TV dining area. There was an en-suite shower room and plenty of room in the entrance way for wet walking gear etc. The building is set in nice grounds and Loch Awe is a short walk away, and there are opportunities for boating, fishing and wild swimming. The property has WiFi but there is no mobile coverage - but perhaps that’s an advantage when you want to get away from it all!

Amazing experience!! We stayed for 3 nights and we really enjoyed it. Very cosy flat with great views and super clean!!!! The area is beautiful. Super recommended Take water because the Water there is abit brown, so I do recomend to take extra of you have a large family although they also leave 1 bottle there.

Erg mooi, maar niet zeuren over een handdoek!
Een mooie oud huis op een mooie plek. De mensen die je ter plaatse helpen zijn erg aardig en welwillend. De verhuurder zou iets meer aandacht moeten hebben voor de communicatie over handdoeken, die behoren gewoon bij het gehuurde en mogen op een nachtprijs van 90 pound een meerprijs geven! Een verwijzing aan de weg naar dit huis zou ook een aanwinst zijn.

Beautiful accomodation
We stayed in the upper tower in 3 adults and one kid. It's very convenient if you travel in a group and would like to cook or heat your own food.
Fully accessories kitchen, two large bedrooms, with comfortable beds (a massive double bed in one bedroom, three large single beds in the other one), large wardrobes and drawers where you can easily fit all your clothes and belongings.
The cherry on top is the living room on the top floor and stunning views of the lake.
The only discomfort is that the first night when we arrived there was no water supply and we could not take a shower and had to flush the toilet with bottle water provided by the house

What a beautiful old place. Very tranquil. Owners are there if you need them but don’t bother you otherwise. All the kitchen amenities you need. An hou from Oban, 20 minutes from Inverary and lovely spots in between. Bed was so comfortable. We just loved it!
