Our flight was 4hrs late but Michele was still able to meet us at the garage parking on our arrival at around 21.30hrs. We would never have found a parking space in the street. Nice room centrally located within easy walk of the Old Town, the Promenade and plenty of restaurants. All staff were very pleasant and helpful at all times. Simple Continental breakfast This is not a traditional hotel but happy to recommend it.

Staying at Room 56 in Bari was one of the best things we did in this wonderful city. We booked a mini apartment which was spacious, clean and had all the amenities one could ever need. The breakfast was continental; everything was fresh and enough to give one a good start for the day. Room cleaning and replacing of towels was on a daily basis. Michele, Vincenzo and Geraldine who manage Room 56 were all very helpful and welcoming. Giusi, who prepared the breakfast and did the housekeeping services was amazing .... a very sweet, helpful, warm person who is a huge credit for the establishment. The building is situated exactly in the middle of central Bari mid-way between Bari Vecchia (the old town) and the modern part of the city which includes the main shopping street. We will definitely stay in Room 56 the next time we visit Bari. Thank you for making our stay such a pleasant one. JESMOND ALFINO - Malta

A wonderful guesthouse in the centre of Bari. The building itself is quite old and the lift seems ancient but once you get out of the lift and into the welcoming residence, you can see how much care and work has gone into making sure Room 56 is a place worthy of your accommodation needs. It's a quiet retreat and has a common area and a kitchen. The kitchen provides free bottles of cold water and crisp bottles of wine that cost 10 euros per bottle. You can help yourself and pay the kitchen host at breakfast the next day for the wine. The breakfast is very simple and comprises mainly of some cold meats, bread and yoghurt with coffee or tea. The room was bright and modern and quite high up! I enjoyed the bustling street view and drinking one too many bottles of white wine on my private balcony whilst listening to music in the late afternoons! The only problem is that the walls are very thin in this hotel, so if you're expecting to make some noise with your friends then this place is not for you. In general, the clientele here is respectful of one another and thus patrons won't be coming in late making noise or blaring loud music. Federica was a super helpful host, she met me outside and checked me in promptly. She's also very friendly and helped me book a taxi to the airport upon checking out. Thanks for a pleasant stay and nice round off to my Euro trip!

Magnifique chambre en plein centre de Bari, dans le quartier commer?ant et prisé de la ville. Grande qualité de prestation. La chambre était très grande, avec une grande baignoire à remous, climatisation, et surtout très calme, malgré le fait que ce soit en ville. A recommander absolument

Una bellissima struttura nel cuore di Bari con comodissimo parcheggio di fronte all'ingresso. La ns camera era davvero spaziosa con due balconcini proprio sulla strada. Essendo all'ultimo piano del palazzo non si sentivano rumori e la stanza risultava estremamente arieggiata. La ns suite risultava arredata con cura in stile moderno e con un bagno molto spazioso. Pulizia molto curata così come il riassetto della camera. Ottima la colazione. Check in velocissimo. Molto cordiale, empatica e riservata la Sig.ra addetta alle colazioni e al riassetto della camera...davvero una splendida persona! Qualità del sonno ottima Struttura a due passi dalla Bari Vecchia. really nice and quiet place. very authentic experience, as the hotel is on the 5th floor among residential areas. Was welcomed by the nicest lady who spoke very little English but communicated with a translation app. It is very intimate and quiet and the rooms are in very good condition. Clear recommendation, and very good distance to both the new and old town of Bari. We felt very welcome and would definitely choose the same hotel again

Room 56 is in the best location of Bari. It is next to the main pedesterian area which is the shopping and dining section of the city. Room 56 is about 8-10 min. walking distance to the Bari Central Train Station. Although it is in the center, it is not noisy at all. We stayed in the room No 1. The room was clean and spacious, bed was comfortable. There was a sink ,an owen, mini bar, TV and a small balcony. Shower was a little too small and bidet was not adjacent to WC, but it was next to the shower. There wasn't any problem with heating, hot water and Wifi. The room was cleaned daily. Breakfast was moderate but sufficient for us. Michele who was in charge during our stay was very friendly and helpful. We didn't have any difficulty while checking in and checking out. I recommend Room 56 for people who seek a central and comfortable room.

Ottimo per pulizia, cortesia e struttura. Peccato, però, aver avuto problemi con acqua calda che mi ha costretto per ben tre volte consecutive ad uscire dalla doccia e dalla camera per chiedere supporto al personale che tra l’altro è stato gentilissimo! Il termosifone in bagno non era funzionante così pure come il climatizzatore in camera. Solo aria fredda!!! Parcheggiare nelle vicinanze è praticamente impossibile è il garage subito sotto la struttura è carissimo. Consegnata l’auto alle 16 di sabato e ritirata alle 10:30 di domenica al costo di 50€. In più sabato sera chiude alle 21:00 e domenica alle 12:00! Forse sarebbe meglio pensare ad una convenzione con la struttura ad appannaggio della propria clientela!

I meant to leave a review at the time of my stay, but forgot. However I really need to as this is a wonderful hotel with a few quirks for guests to be aware of. First off, the location is simply fantastic. Go to Sephora on the corner, turn left and there is a clear walk to the train station. Go to the white building at the bottom of the street, turn left and there is a clear walk to the Old Town. Turn right and walk down the side of Teatro Petruzzelli to find the Lungomare and enjoy a walk along the sea. For the location alone, I'd return to Room 56 every time. Additionally, on my previous trip to Bari, food was an issue and Room 56 ensured the problem wasn't repeated. Not only are restaurants very close by, but the breakfast is very good and unusually varied for a hotel, so long as you like continental. There was also a fruit stall next store which I cleared of strawberries every day. The room is of a good size, clean and has a nice view over the street. At the time of my stay, it wasn't too warm so I can't speak for the air conditioning, but I found it comfortable. The staff are very helpful. Be aware that this is not a traditional hotel, but an apartment in which you book a bedroom. It was a bit of a surprise to me when I arrived, but didn't affect my stay as my fellow guests were all quiet. The rooms are also soundproofed, though the hallway is not, so you will probably not miss breakfast as the sound of thundering footsteps past your door will rouse you. The main issue I had was with the front door of the apartment, as the lock doesn't open unless you turn the key so much that it feels like it might break. Unless this has been fixed in the past year, I'd advise ensuring the staff member who meets you shows you how to open the door before leaving, or else you'll be forced to be like me and call someone out of their bed at 1am to get into yours. You also can't get into the building until the staff member meets you, but this shouldn't be a problem unless your plane is very early or late. Of greater significance is when you depart. You will be relieved of your key in the morning and, if you have a later flight and choose to leave your suitcase in the hotel to collect on your way to the airport, provide a meeting time that is earlier than you actually intend to arrive. My staff member was fifteen minutes late and it was a bit panic inducing to be locked away from my suitcase when I had a train to catch. This review may focus too much on improvements, but I really enjoyed my stay in Room 56 and would consider it again if I return to Bari. My suggestions are merely small things that I wish I'd known and don't impact how good the hotel is overall. If you want to see Bari with ease and be assured of a full stomach whilst doing so, Room 56 Le Dimore is an excellent choice.
