This has to be one of the best if not the guesthouse we have ever visited. John is def the most amazing host with nothing too much trouble. The rooms are opulent and comfortable. You will never find such a lovely breakfast laid out to precision to the last detail. We have def found our go to place to stay in Johansburg area.
The guesthouse is in a safe and walkable neighborhood called Bedfordview. It's only a 15-minute drive to the airport so if you don't want to stay at a big, impersonal airport hotel, this is a great option. There's an Indian restaurant less than 10 minutes' walk and there are lots more restaurants about 2 km away. John is a fantastic host, a real character with a booming laugh, a big heart, and a lust for life. The room we had was beautifully decorated and huge, and included a large sitting area with upholstered furniture and a large writing desk. There was plenty of closet space and room for luggage. The bathroom was wonderful and had a double shower and a bathtub. The breakfast spread was also very good featuring fresh fruits, yogurts, cereal, and eggs cooked to order. We didn't get to experience the garden and pool because it rained both days that we were there, but they looked spectacular from our balcony!
