After a shorter visit in Arugam Bay I totally fell in love with "The Folly". I came back to stay there in a little cabana for 3 total weeks and it couldn't have been better - I felt like home in this place directly at the beach, where you can hear the waves during the night, where you step out of your bed and find yourself on a beautiful beach with a perfect spot for swimming and lying in the sun on the sunbeds of the hotel and can just enjoy life to the fullest. The staff became like a family for me - they were so helpful and friendly and whenever I needed something I could count on them. Especially the manager Muba was the most charming and caring person I've ever met here in Sri Lanka, always giving me the feeling of home. The huts are beautiful and lovely to live in with flowers on the "balcony", the bathrooms are clean and the outdoor showers are awesome:) The food is amazing and the menu offers the most diverse food in the whole town - I especially loved the breakfast "papaya boat" with muesli and curd and honey . There is a huge table in the middle of the hotel area where people can meet and catch up and every now and then a big dinner or bbq is offered for all the hotel guests. Totally in love with this place and would highly recommend to stay there - I will come back! Thank you "the folly"

Super sch?ner Platz und sehr netter Eigentümer. Man fühlt sich wie bei einer gro?en Familie. Der Besitzer Muba kümmert sich um alles, obwohl Corona für schwierige Zeiten verantwortlich ist. Ich kann das Resort jedem empfehlen, der eine sch?ne Zeit in Arugam Bay verbringen m?chte und dabei auch ein wenig lokale Kultur in sich aufnehmen will.

Amazing place in Arugam Bay, located in a good spot first line to the beach. The atmosphere is so chill and relaxing. Also Mubarak the place owner is such a nice and helpful man, he helped us with everything we needed. Definitely recommend visiting there!

Great place to stay in arugam bay. The cabins are located by the beach, there’s a great atmosphere and the staff are so helpful! We felt so welcomed and the staff helped us with everything we needed. We stayed two weeks and I would definitely come back again. Don’t miss out!!

I had a very good experience at Folly in Arugam Bay. I stayed by myself for 2 weeks there. The property is beautiful, right on the beach, with pretty garden and shady trees. The room was nice, standard for Sri Lanka, spacious, with AC, shelves for my stuff and clothes. The manager, Muba, is really helpful, he speaks fluent English and would help with any issue or quiestion that I had. Overall I had the best time and would stay there again if I go back to Arugam. Recommended

The best place in Arugam bay Very silent and chill but just 5 min from the Center You open your eyes in the morning straight to the beach Mubarak the manager is so kind and thankful I’ve been here for 15 nights. The leaving was hard??
