  • Guest：Arrived late at Villa Lanterna to a warm welcome. Igor helped us with our luggage and showed us to our room which had a balcony and a beautiful view of a small secluded beach. Nothing was too much trouble for Ivanna and the team. We loved this place, nothing but happy memories. Would visit here again for sure??
  • Guest：We, my wife and two grown up children and I stayed here for a week and we were not disappointed. If you are looking for a quieter, relaxing holiday with the flexibility to enjoy a nearby city and the trappings that come with it, this really is a place to seriously consider. We received a very warm welcome from Ivana, who remained helpful and attentive throughout our whole stay - nothing was ever too much trouble. The two rooms we had were well appointed, meticulously clean and tidy and offered great views of ?tikovica beach. They were cleaned regularly and the towels were frequently replaced. The regular minibus service to the local supermarket or Dubrovnik provided by the perpetually wonderful and cheerful Hrvoje was useful and he was always happy to offer local advice of places to go to. Highlights of our stay included the three island tour (tickets available at reception) and the many attractions that come with a Dubrovnik pass. Both the local restaurants in ?tikovica offered good quality meals as did Gradska kavana Arsenal and Bura Bistro and Bar in Dubrovnik. Having had many trips abroad, Villa Lanterna really did feel like a home from home for us. They even surprised me with cake on my 50th birthday which I celebrated whilst there. I would not hesitate to pay a return visit nor recommend staying there to anyone. Keep up great work Ivana, Hrvoje and team!
  • Guest：Very basic and isolated. 10 km and 12 euro uber ride to Dubrovnik old town. Thete are no shops nearby and one has to rely on the accomodation shuttle service, which we did not use. Our bedding wasnt changed in 5 nights and the towels were like sandpaper. Breakfast was poor; ie non refrigerated packet meat / cheese / croissants; with eggs / bacon on toast available on request. Poor value for 15 euros each. The pool is deeper than it is long, with 5 sun loungers that were less comfortable than the lying on the stones on the beach. It had zero vibe. The staff were nice, in a weary-200th-hour of the week kind of way. The nearby stoney beach was pleasant, in a nice cove , but there were no parasols available, so the options were to bake, or to go down later in the day, when the beach was so busy. The 2 bars were again vibe-less, with the staff sweating cobs, with a 200th hour of the week kinda attitude. There was a perpetual smell of fags from the smoking locals; albeit the food was nice and (for once in Dubrovnik) reasonably priced. There is an element of you get what you pay for, but the experience of the stunning views of Dubrovnik itself, were tainted by the experience in the very modest Villa Lanterna. My advice is to pay more for the accomodation elsewhere, otherwise it costs more in the long run.
  • Guest：The view of the bay from our balcony was simply stunning. If you can, get a balcony. The wonderful beach was around 50m away. Pebbles and clear clear warm water. Amazing snorkelling, so many fish. Felt so calm and safe. We hired paddle boards for €10 and hour, great fun. Kayaks were a bit more. Plenty of stands for beach brollies...suggest you take one. There is very limited natural shade. We just borrowed scruffy ones that families left around. It's a real local family beach. Haven't enjoyed a beach so much in years, and we are 60. Nice bar, nice pizzeria. Oh, remember bug spray; I got bitten a lot. The thrice daily bus to Dubrovnik v handy, €4 each way. Dubrovnik simply stunning. Breakfast wasn't fancy but totally nice. Use the free 9am supermarket mini bus to stock up on room snacks etc. Fellow guests were so friendly, as were the staff. Pool small but has jacuzzi and refreshingly cold! Loads of holiday reading books to borrow. Weather was a hot 33 plus, but we had a truly dramatic lightning storm one night. I'd go back tomorrow.
