Esta casa de campo é espetacular. Calma, limpa, boas instala??es com piscina, excelente localiza??o perto da Praia Fluvial de Monsaraz e do Castelo. A anfitri? D. Vitória é muito acolhedora e sentimo-nos em casa. Recomendo e é para repetir!
Excelente final de semana , com amigos. A disponibilidade por parte da D. Vitória superou toda e qualquer expectativa. Há pessoas que nascem para isto. é o caso. Sossego , limpeza , disponibilidade, abertura, liberdade , simpatia , tudo no mesmo local. Parabéns !
The hotel is like a big old family homestead, filled with antiques and curios, in a rural setting five minutes drive from the gorgeous mediaevel village of Monsaraz. Very homey feel to it and the hosts are very welcoming. The gardens and pool provide a peaceful and relaxing escape from the summer heat, 38 degrees when we were there in July. It’s well located about 2 kms from Monsaraz and the ‘Centro nautico’, a cute little beach on the lake which has nice swimming and a bar and cafe. The hotel doesn’t provide lunch or dinner but there are several restaurants less than 4 minutes drive away. Happy to recommend.
Monte Alerta é um espa?o extremamente acolhedor, cuidado e de muitas simpatias. Uma excelente op??o, com ambiente familiar. D. Vitória a anfitri? perfeita que nos faz sentir “da casa”! Um regresso ao passado com muitas memórias dos seus proprietários, que nos fazem sentir incluídos envolvidos. Adorámos!
The best possible experience. Sérgio and the staff were fantastic, whether in the way of welcoming or suggesting places and restaurants to visit. The house is very cute, well decorated and close to the river beach. It is really worth knowing and enjoying!

Inigualável. Uma oportunidade única de encontro com a harmonia, bom gosto, natureza, cultura, respeito, divers?o, simpatia, uni?o de gera??es, raízes profundas do Alentejo. N?o tendo por prática repetir destino de férias, resolvemos repetir o Monte Alerta e gostámos tanto, aliás mais ainda que da primeira vez. Já pensamos na oportunidade de voltar. A Dona Vitória faz-nos sentir em casa, o espa?o é envolvente, sentimo-nos parte do todo, Boa energia. O céu é deslumbrante, cada animal da quinta uma ternura, as nossas crian?as/adolescente n?o os largaram, assim como a bela piscina e cada recanto dos jardins. A decora??o e espa?o dos quartos é de extremo conforto e beleza assim como todas as salas e alpendres, cheias de história, pe?as de arte/cole??o. My wife and I ,who now spend many weeks in the summer travelling through Portugal, usually 3/ 4 nights at various Pousadas in the main cities and towns, decided to go off the beaten track for a short time and visit the very scenic region of Monsaraz, and it did not disappoint. Stunning place, beautiful lakes , well tended beaches and of course home to many famous Portuguese wines. But what really made the visit an unforgettable experience was Monte Alerta Turismo Rural ...a beautiful converted family owned farmhouse , lovely quiet and serene gardens with a generous sized pool, perfect for cooling down in , when the heat as it can do, became unbearable . even better was the air con in our bedroom ..it went all the way down to 16 degrees, which for Scots is an absolutely perfect temperature ha ha If I have one slight complaint is that they don't do evening meals ..but not to worry, there are a plethora of great restaurants nearby and all at very competitive prices. If you want to see more of Portugal, other than Porto , Lisbon and the Algarve then I thoroughly recommend Monet Alerta Turismo Rural , Monsaraz , nearby Evora and the surrounding area ..brilliant!
Pros: Great location, beautiful setting, good breakfast, spacious rooms, interesting and engaging owner. Cons: shower did not work well, bed uncomfortable with older linens and heavy blankets, item lost in laundry with no acknowledgement, no housekeeping services.
