Three of us booked a table for 5pm on Sunday and were assured on the phone that they were serving food until 9pm and everything would be available. They didn't have everything available which was the first issue. Then the food came out cold. The Yorkshire puddings felt like they came out of the fridge! The potatoes were not fresh, they were rock-hard and there was not much veg served with the roast dinners. When you are paying ￡26+ for a plate of food, you reasonably expect high-quality. To to be served cold food at these prices is quite unforgivable. It's a shame because we have eaten here before and it's been good. The service was good and it's a nice restaurant. But we definitely felt that we were eating 'end-of-day' food which was very disappointing when the prices are this high. Staff were great, very attentive... but food was a let down sadly. We might have had a better experience eating much earlier, but it's for the restaurant to ensure the freshness and quality of it's dishes, especially when they charge this much for a main course. I've had better experiences at a local carvery for ￡10 and we all agreed that's where we will go next time! In fairness, my lamb was very well cooked, fell off the bone. But the overall experience was not great.

We had Sunday lunch here and it was excellent, could not fault the food and the service. To top it off we were treated to the amazingly talented Libby Gliksman “such a beautiful voice!!” & the very talented musician Dean Ames “fabulous duo”!!?? hopefully they will be on again soon would love to see them again, they really made my afternoon.xx

Fabulous Christmas's vibe. Friendly Staff (Emily-Rose) food was good especially the cheese pie! Long wait for food and not as hot as would have liked when it arrived (long walk from kitchen). Other than that would come again. From Manchester/ Liverpool / Shrewsbury x

found it and it was clean and comfortable. had a bit of a wait to be attended too on arrival and there was no clear reception area. Good food and friendly staff. Bathroom was freezing probably due to it being a listed building.

On arrival hotel looked stunning, put the car on charge and checked in, smooth and welcoming with lovely atmosphere. Shown to our suite which was lovely with river views. Spacious and clean, beautiful actually. Bar was welcoming and the restaurant was full, great food and Christmas feel. So much effort has gone into the festivities you deserve huge credit..! Will definitely return.

We visited as 4 adults, 2 children and 2 dogs. We sat in the bar area which was very cosy. Christmas decorations around the place are stunning. All the staff were excellent, so friendly and efficient. The food was so tasty, all of us ate everything! The desserts were just as good. It was a great way to spend the afternoon after a morning at Attingham Park. I highly recommend a visit. There was an excellent children's menu too.

Fantastic food and great service by Neve. The Game menu was a great option and my husband loved it. I loved the cod loin chowder, so good to go out and have something different on the menu.

We have visited several times to eat. The staff are always professional, efficient and friendly. On this occasion Stacey and Neve looked after us so well, they are delightful and fabulous ambassadors for the Mytton. The food was delicious and of a very high quality in terms of taste and presentation. We are already planning our return.

Leoni was our waitress tonight, lovely young lady, prompt service throughout our meal……. Food was amazing would highly recommend .
