A little oasis away from the hustle & bustle of Portree with the loveliest & friendliest hosts. Barbara & Angy (sorry if spelt wrong) will kill you with kindness, from the warm welcome, to the daily homemade tray bakes, to the generous breakfasts & the offer of a ride to dinner bookings in Portree. The room was lovely, comfortable, clean with the most amazing shower! Perfect after a long day of walking. There is a lovely spacious lounge to relax in & fabulous views over to the Portree harbour & perfect place to watch the tide ebb & flow & bring with it the local birdlife. A bumpy but nature (deer) strewn drive to get to Heatherfield makes it such a gem. We definitely hope to visit.

Highly recommend. Location beautiful. Our room was a nice size, very comfortable bed, shower amazing. The hosts are very thoughtful and attentive. Breakfast great. Quite and severe places to enjoy the view of the water. Book this place, you will be happy you did.

Ho soggiornato qui, assieme ad altre 2 persone, per 4 notti (dal 09/07/2025 all'13/07/2025) ed è stato un soggiorno a dir poco meraviglioso. Barbara e suo marito ci hanno accolto con molta gentilezza e discrezione, rivelandosi cordiali, disponibili a fornire indicazioni e preziosi consigli, a scambiare quattro chiacchiere, senza mai risultare invadenti. Entrambe le camere si sono rivelate spaziose, pulitissime, arredate in modo semplice ma curato, dotate di tutto ciò di cui si può avere bisogno. La vista, specie dalla camera king size, è veramente magnifica. La colazione, ricca e varia, viene incontro alle esigenze di tutti. Si va dalle uova (strapazzate, fritte, pochè,...) con bacon e salsiccia, white pudding, toast, burro, marmellate, nutella, burro di arachidi, miele, frutta fresca, yogurt, cereali, succhi di frutta, tè o caffè. La lounge è veramente meravigliosa, luminosa, accogliente, con una vista mozzafiato sulla baia. Gli ospiti hanno a disposizione una postazione per potersi preparare tè e caffè: è presente tutto il necessario, dal latte, alle bustine di tisane o tè, zucchero, caffè, tazzine, bollitore e qualche dolcetto. Gli spazi esterno comuni sono veramente ben tenuti e ampi. Dalla finestra della camera abbiamo addirittura avvistato una coppia di cervi. Alloggio super consigliato.

Stay here! Beautiful house, lovely accommodation, breathtaking views, including of the Old Man of Storr & a great breakfast. Friendly hosts. Saw an otter! Short drive to Portree. Skye Candle Company nearby is a good place to stop for gifts & snacks.

We stayed three nights at Heatherfield House and I would always come back there. Our room was lovely, the owners are very nice. We got cake in the room every day which was delicious. There is also a shared dining room with a little kitchen plus a shared living room with sea and Old man of storr view. Breakfast was delicious with offered local sausages. I highly recommend a stay at Heatherfield House!

Cosy and super clean room with nice lake view, super confortable bathroom. On-site parking. Beautiful breakfast room and sitting room for the guests. Fantastic breakfast. Moreover, every afternoon/evening we found a surprise cake made by Barbara to wait for us after our daily trips . Warm and very nice and kind welcome and assistance. Barbara and his husband gave us precious advices for visiting Skye . The location is perfect to visit the island: at only 10' drive from Potree center town but in a peaceful and fantastic site on the lake border. Really a gorgeous stay in Skye !

A little bit out of the way from Portree but a beautiful house on the loch. The rooms are a good size, comfortable and very clean. The bed and pillows were great. Updated washrooms with excellent shower. Barbara and her husband are lovely, welcoming hosts. They provide a full breakfast every morning should you wish.

Recently came here for three nights. It was booked through Airbnb, but its also a bed and breakfast. Service provided by Barbara was perfect. Cottage was full with everything we needed. Super comfortable. Perfectly located right across the bay from Portree. Lots of parking. Full kitchen. Clean, etc. Main house has awesome views of the water since its waterfront location. This place is amazing and I would highly recommend it!

Sehr gepflegtes Haus am See. Inhaber achten im Haus auf diverse Details. Bequeme Betten, sehr saubere Zimmer. Das Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet. Es gibt frisches Obst, diverse Joghurts, Eierspeisen, Toast, Pancakes, Porridge. Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen und wird verw?hnt.

What a fabulous place. Great rooms, fabulous breakfast and the view is unbelievable. The parking is perfect and if you are lucky you can see the otters just after dusk. I have stayed a few times and will do again. Lovely people. Thoroughly recommend Heatherfield.
