Best way to describe Hotel Edelweiss is inconsistent in every thing they do. It started when we checked in, we had bad jet lag and asked for some decaf coffee, the front desk clerk said absolutely. No one ever showed up that night or the next morning, so I called down to the front desk and politely asked for some decaf, the front desk clerk replied “Why, breakfast will be served at 7am”. I put on my shoes and rushed down to confront him, he rudely told me “I’m just the night guy, I don’t know where the coffee is.” I just walked away irritated. Later we went to one of their nicest restaurants and had the nicest, funniest and really good waiter but the food was really bad. Not worth the price, it was expensive even in Switzerland standards. Next day, we get out early to do some hiking, we return to the hotel and find a bunch of irritated aggressive people in the parking lot fighting over the maybe 10 spots clearly marked HOTEL EDELWEISS, once again I walk inside and explain the situation, the front desk clerk (different one) said “There are plenty of spots”, I replied show me. He rudely scoffs and walks outside, he clearly sees the hornets nest building in the parking lot and points to parking spots not labeled HOTEL Edelweiss, he again rudely says “those are our spots too” and walked away. The people in the lot look at us and say “Sure would be nice if they labeled those two to prevent this confusion” I 100% agree but they seem not to care. The good- If you stay more than 2 days you get free admission to the local gondolas. -The hotel is very nice, located right on a cute little stream. In my opinion this hotel did not meet my expectations, was overpriced for the value and therefore we’ll never be back to any Hotel Edelweiss. Do yourself a favor, look elsewhere before they ruin the vibe for you too. -
The staff were very friendly, the facilities were nice and all went as good as could be. What more can i say? Breakfast were great and everything was perfect. The environment of Sils Maria is one of the most wonderful I ‘ve ever seen and the town one of the best kept
Switzerland provides the location but the people at this hotel provide the unique experience. Strong Leadership and great service are everywhere. I did NOT want to leave this time and will be back soon and for longer. Thank you to the Edelweiss people!!
Das Zimmer war sch?n und gemütl?ich. N?chstes Mal bevorzuge ich ein Zimmer mit Sicht Richtung Waldhaus oder bzw. und einen Balkon falls vorhanden. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Besonders sch?tze ich die Zeitungen, welche morgens aufliegen. Eine kleine Kritik gebührt der Küche: Beim Hauptgericht fehlte manchmal etwas Sauce. Das Fleich war dann leider ein bisschen trocken. Zudem ist mir (uns) aufgefallen, dass morgens stets dieselben K?sesorten auf der Platte liegen. Gerne h?tte ich (wir) etwas mehr Abwechslung gesch?tzt. Da ich auch fast Vegetarierin bin, lege ich auf feinen K?se besonderen Wert. Nochmals vielen Dank für die Gastfreundschaft und......bis zum n?chsten Mal. Sch?nes Hotel mit perfektem Service, grosse Zimmer, sch?ne Lage sehr ruhig, tolles Frühstücksbuffet, Gratis Ticket für Bergbahnen, Fahrradkeller abschlie?bar, Hotel Parkplatz, alles sehr ordentlich gepfl3gt und sauber, sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverh?ltnis
Die Ferienwohnung, die zum Hotel geh?rt, ist perfekt ausgestattet und sch?n m?bliert. Im Beschreib und dem Grundriss kann man allerdings nicht davon ausgehen, dass der Gartensitzplatz gegen den Wald ausgerichtet ist, so dass man kaum Sonne hat. Das Nitsche-Haus ist vom Sitzplatz aus nur mit gr?sster Mühe zu sehen. Dass man vielmehr auf den Parkplatz des Hotels sieht und von der Lüftung der Küche zu allen Zeiten beschallt wird, wurde aus dem Beschrieb der Wohnung nicht ersichtlich. Es w?re auch nett gewesen, wenn sich mal jemand bei uns erkundigt h?tte, ob wir uns in der Wohnung gut zurechtfinden. Wieso die kleine Wellnessanlage zwar benutzt werden kann, der Pass für den ?V nicht zur Ferienwohnung dazu geh?rt, konnte uns niemand erkl?ren. Wir haben aber trotz allem sch?ne Ferien in Sils verbracht und bedanken uns speziell beim Reinigungspersonal, das die Wohnung in einem perfekten Zustand an uns übergeben hat.
Sehr freundliches, aufmerksames und zuvorkommendes Personal. Wir haben das gute Essen in der Arvenstube sehr genossen. Sauberes Zimmer mit guten Betten, einzig die Dusche in der Badewanne hat uns nicht so sehr gefallen, was jedoch eine Kritik auf hohem Niveau ist.
Très bon séjour dans merveilleux h?tel plein de charme et d’Histoire. Seul bémol: la salle de bains est petite sans une place pour poser nos affaires et une seule tringle pour 4 serviettes!! Autrement tout bien.
