SPECIAL THANKS We set off knowing we were going to visit a corner of paradise on Earth, but we could never have imagined finding so much, much, much more, which was given to us by the people who are part of the Diamonds Athuruga Resort: kindness, spontaneity, simplicity, professionalism, cleanliness, helpfulness… just to name a few of the things that come to mind right away. We were pleasantly surprised by the mix of ethnicities that intertwine and all work with the same goal: to give guests dreamlike days. Well guys, you succeeded!! These few lines are to thank the entire staff: receptionists, gardeners, room attendants, restaurant waiters, chefs, the entertainment team in general, those who work behind the scenes and are not in direct contact with the public, the SPA operators… truly THANK YOU ALL for the emotions you made us experience. Wonderful Xmas and New Year's Eve on this gem in the Maldives. Small island where you feel at home thanks to extraordinary people taking care of you, from restaurants/bars to sports/activities/spa, from reception/admin staff to housekeeping...they are all very friendly and welcoming. An amazing house reef surrounds the island and the water villas are just 'paradise on earth'. The food is very good and we had special events for the holidays that made the stay exceptional for adults and kids/teenagers. It was our first stay in the Maldives and we realize how fortunate we have been to land in Athuruga !

The resort itself is generally nice and the food is good. However, the reality does not fully match what is shown in the promotional photos. This is especially true for the beach bungalows — instead of a wide, sandy beach, many of them have unpleasant, smelly and moldy sandbags placed directly behind the terrace, which significantly restrict access to the water. This looks nothing like the beautiful beach presented in the photos. At first, the hotel staff were dismissive and insisted that changing the bungalow was impossible. This was clearly untrue, as we could see guests checking in and out regularly. It felt like the staff simply did not want to disturb their accommodation schedule or make the effort to rearrange it. Bungalows with sandbags should not be offered at the same price or standard as those with a proper beach. We understand that this is nature and that the resort may have limited control over coastal erosion, but such accommodations should not be priced at a premium. If you choose this bungalow type, be aware that you will most likely be assigned a similar or even worse one — some bungalows had no beach at all, only old sandbags directly in front of the terrace. In a resort of this class, such a situation should never occur — especially during a honeymoon, which unfortunately was negatively affected and partially ruined by this experience.

Très bel h?tel! Personnel très gentil, le buffet est varié et la nourriture est fra?che, tout est très bon. Les plages sont magnifiques et propres. Le snorkling est possible presque tout autour de l'?le avec une diversité marine magnifique! Nous avons eu la chance de voir des requins, des raies et plein de sorte de poisson. Les activités proposées sont sympa il y en a mêmedes grauites, le seul inconvénient, nous avons payé 190 dollars pour nager avec les requins baleine, la nature a fait que nous n'en avons pas vu et un rabais de 50% a été proposés pour y retourner, toujours sans garantie de les voir. On ne nous a pas expliqué les conditions en reservant l'excursion et au prix où elle co?te nous avons été très dé?us. Le Wi-Fi fonctionne bien. Les massages au spa sont incroyables. Nous sommes très satisfait de notre séjour et nous conseillons vivement cet h?tel!

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di soggiornare nel Resort Diamonds Athuruga delle Maldive per la nostra luna di miele e non possiamo che dire che è stata un’esperienza straordinaria sotto ogni punto di vista. Sin dal nostro arrivo abbiamo percepito un’atmosfera unica, fatta di cura, attenzione, professionalità e un’umanità che oggi è sempre più difficile trovare. La struttura è splendida, curata in ogni dettaglio, pulita, luminosa, accogliente, ma ciò che rende davvero speciale questo resort è il personale: un team di persone eccezionali che sanno trasformare una semplice vacanza in qualcosa di molto più profondo e significativo. Ogni singola persona che lavora in questa struttura merita un elogio. Dal primo sorriso alla reception fino all’ultimo saluto alla partenza, ho incontrato professionalità, educazione, gentilezza e una disponibilità che non si vede facilmente. Tutti, e dico davvero tutti, fanno sentire gli ospiti importanti, ascoltati e coccolati. In particolare vogliamo ringraziare con tutto il cuore Elena, la ragazza del settore accoglienza: una persona meravigliosa, solare, educata, sempre presente ma mai invadente. La sua delicatezza, il suo modo di porsi e la sua attenzione hanno reso il mio soggiorno ancora più perfetto. è raro incontrare una professionalità così autentica, accompagnata da un carattere così dolce e luminoso. Una menzione speciale anche agli altri membri dello staff che hanno contribuito a rendere ogni giornata perfetta: Rauf, il ragazzo dell’animazione: simpatia, energia, carisma. Ha la capacità di coinvolgere tutti senza mai forzare niente, sempre con il sorriso e con un entusiasmo contagioso. Le sue attività sono state una parte importantissima del nostro soggiorno. John, vero artista delle serate e dell’intrattenimento.. ha un talento incredibile che sa trasformare ogni momento in uno spettacolo. Con lui non ci si annoia mai, ogni serata diventa un ricordo prezioso, pieno di risate, emozioni e magia. Un particolare ringraziamento anche agli addetti cucina .. il cibo è stato eccellente e il servizio impeccabile Un applauso enorme anche ai camerieri e allo staff di sala. Sempre cortesi, sorridenti, attentissimi alle esigenze degli ospiti. In questo resort non si respira solo professionalità, ma una cultura della gentilezza che è rarissima. Ogni gesto è accompagnato da educazione, discrezione e un sincero desiderio di far star bene le persone. Non è qualcosa che si può fingere: qui è parte dell’anima del posto. Consigliamo questo resort con tutto il cuore. Se cercate un luogo dove rilassarvi, essere accolti come in famiglia, godere di paesaggi meravigliosi e vivere un’esperienza davvero speciale, questo è il posto giusto. Grazie grazie davvero. Che dire… una bomboniera. Tutto stupendo, laguna bellissima e ampia, barriera corallina vicina da raggiungere e abbastanza popolata di pesci. Cucina buona e varia, struttura ben tenuta e curata. Camere ampie con veranda sulla spiaggia e grande bagno maldiviano. Un caro saluto a Titu il grigliatore e al cameriere Abdulla Hammagh. Un ringraziamento a tutti i ragazzi dello staff Francorosso in particolare ad Elena sempre gentile e disponibile.

Sehr gepflegte Insel, überschaubare Anzahl an G?sten. Sehr freundliches Personal und ein super Restaurant. Es gibt noch ein Restaurant eigens für die Wasservillen und ein Tepaniaki-Restaurant. Da das Essen im Hauptrestaurant so gut und abwechslungsreich war, blieben wir aber immer dort. Sehr gute Tauchschule. Wir haben schon mehrere Inseln besucht, aber wir kommen zurück nach Atharuga.

Wir waren im August eine Woche hier. Insgesamt hat es uns gut gefallen, es ist aber nicht ganz unser Geschmack und wir werden wohl eher nicht wieder hinfahren, weil uns andere Inseln besser gefallen. Das liegt aber nicht an den absolut bezaubernden und engagierten Mitarbeitern. Danke an unseren Kellner Mohamed, unseren Housekeeper Hussain, an alle K?che, allen voran Grillmeister Titu, mit dem wir uns immer sehr nett unterhalten haben - und der immer fantastisch für uns gegrillt hat! Die machen wirklich einen Top Job und das Wohlergehen der G?ste liegt ihnen sehr am Herzen. Sie machen die Insel nochmals doppelt so sch?n. Die Insel an sich ist auch wirklich sch?n, ein Traumstrand beim Restaurant und eine recht einsame Lage, sodass man trotz aller Annehmlichkeiten ein wenig Robinson Crusoe-Feeling hat. Unsere Beach-Villa war auch sehr sch?n, absolut sauber, mit echtem Schatten auf der Terrasse, was uns wichtig ist, und einem wunderbaren Blick. Wir waren an einer Stelle auf der Westseite praktisch ohne Strand und mit Sands?cken, was leider mittlerweile Realit?t auf den Malediven ist. Es gibt aber sch?nere Bungalows mit Strand auf der Insel. Aus meiner Sicht w?re an der Stelle ein idealer Platz für einen Wellenbrecher vor der Insel, damit die Insel vom Meer nicht weg gefressen wird, aber ich wei?, dass das manche Leute st?rt. Ich glaub, es geht aber mittelfristig nicht ohne, es ist deutlich nachhaltiger und ich f?nde das nicht schlimm. So hatten wir halt keinen Strand und die Spazierg?nger mussten gezwungenerma?en direkt vor unserem Fenster über die Terrasse laufen. Das ist nicht ganz so sch?n, aber auch nicht wirklich schlimm, weil insgesamt nicht so viele Leute da sind. Das abendliche Unterhaltungsprogramm war für unseren Geschmack immer zu laut, aber dem kann man ja etwas aus dem Weg gehen. Den anderen hat es scheinbar gefallen. Wir haben uns einen Drink an der Bar geholt und sind dann auf die Jetty und haben Fische und Sterne angeschaut. Einmal gab es am Nachmittag laute Elektro-Musik. Also Kopfh?rer auf - war nach einer Stunde vorbei. Aber so richtig passt dies nicht zum Malediven-Feeling. Wir waren jeden Tag schnorcheln, was für uns auch das Wichtigste ist. Am Anfang war ich deprimiert über den schlechten Zustand des Riffs und die mehrheitlich toten Korallen, nach und nach haben wir aber doch noch ein paar sch?ne Korallen entdeckt. Fische sind dennoch unglaublich viele da und das Schnorcheln ist insgesamt sehr sch?n. Auch Schildkr?ten und Squids haben wir ?fter gesehen. Wundersch?n! Es ist auch toll, dass das Hotel sich bemüht, wieder neue Korallen anzusiedeln und die G?ste aufzukl?ren. Bei einem Ausflug haben wir leider erlebt, wie ein Gast mehrfach auf Korallen getreten ist, hier ist also weiterhin viel Aufkl?rung (und leider auch Kontrolle) notwendig. Womit wir nicht ganz so zufrieden waren, war, dass wir niemals irgendjemandem vom Management begegnet sind. Weder bei der Begrü?ung noch sonst irgendwann. Das ist bei anderen Inseln anders.

Hausriff iat mega wor haben soviele Haie Schildkr?ten, Rochen gesehen. Essen top inkl frische S?fte. Zimmer sehr sch?n eingerichtet. Ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questo resort alle Maldive e posso dire che è stata un’esperienza indimenticabile. L’accoglienza è stata impeccabile sin dal nostro arrivo: personale sorridente, disponibile in particolare un GRAZIE infinito a GIULIA e VALERIA di FRANCOROSSO che nonostante la mole di lavoro hanno sempre seguito tutti dando il massimo!!!!!! Le BEACH BUNGALOW sono spaziose, curate e offrono una vista mozzafiato sull’oceano cristallino. Svegliare con il rumore delle onde e tuffarsi direttamente in laguna è un sogno che qui diventa realtà. La cucina è stata una delle sorprese più belle con ingredienti freschi e di alta qualità. Ogni pasto è stato un viaggio di sapori. Il resort offre anche numerose attività, dal semplice snorkeling tra i coralli a escursioni indimenticabili in barca.
