Esplendor Hotel Cervantes is one of the most iconic a unique and noble building in Montevideo with refined rooms of this historic Florentine-style building. When it first opened in 1927 in all its glory it was called Cervantes- nowadays it is called Esplendor Cervantes Hotel and yet they are one and the same. The traditional Cervantes Hotel is part of the citys list of historical buildings and was a witness to international writers like Jorge Luis Borges Adolfo Bioy Casares Emilio Oribe and Julio Cortazar. Airport shuttle available for a nominal fee.
