Our room was spotless and very comfortable and all the staff very friendly and helpful. The bar area was welcoming and warm on a cold January evening and the beer well kept. The menu was limited and plain but again this was the low season with little trade

Quiet relaxed place to stay staff were excellent dealing with some minor issues quickly and the food was fresh, with qauality ingredients and cooked well.

stayed for one night which I always feel mean about, but full on welcome from the landlady, Michelle, lovely old country inn , great ensuite bedroom, and superb beer to wash the great evening meal, why on earth would you stay in a modern travel hotel when great country inns exist? the mainstay of this country for years and long may they exist..In Cornwall for a week and going to break the home journey there again

Check in was advertised at 3.00pm, arrived at 4.50pm but room was not available & hadn't been cleaned as the cleaner didn't turn up? Menu was reduced as the chef didn't turn up either and no toilet rolls in the bathroom. I gave my breakfast order the night before but it was not passed onto the cover chef in the morning, so in all not a great experience but...would I stay there again...definitely yes. Michelle and her team were amazing, they did everything possible to make my stay enjoyable and it was. The room was clean & spacious. The hotel is full of character & is attracting locals & passers by. Michelle and her partner had just recently taken over and need time to settle in and put their stamp on the business. I will certainly return and stay longer next time. Thank you Michelle and all

Lovely rooms and clean bedding. Staff were lovely and friendly. Was upgraded to a superior suite which was great. Only issue was the banging in the room, not sure where this was from and a few things falling off the shelf in the night! Must of been the wind I’m sure!

Haven’t been to Bampton since I was a child living in North Devon so stopped here for lunch when touring the childhood haunts. Great idea to have a small but very reasonably priced lunch option which suited us fine. Hope it’s not another 50+ years before I visit Bampton again!

A lovely pub and the food was very nice. Would go again. The staff friendly and the atmosphere great. A great location on Exmoor.

Personal hatte keinen Bock ! Zimmer einigerma?en o.k. Aber laut , direkt an der Stra?e! Bad gut aber die Heizung auf volle Pulle und nicht regulierbar ! Frühstück war auch gut .
