We had Sunday lunch today as a group of five and from the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome. The service was exceptional – every member of staff went out of their way to look after us, with a genuine warmth and attentiveness that was so refreshing to experience. Nothing was too much trouble, and it truly felt like how good service should be. It was also such a nice touch that we didn’t have to ask for anything – water and sauces were already on the table, and everything was topped up before we even had to think about it. That kind of thoughtfulness really stood out. The three-course lunch was absolutely first class – beautifully cooked using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish was delicious and thoughtfully presented. We finished with coffee and mints out on the terrace, which was the perfect end to a lovely afternoon. Couldn’t praise the team enough – thank you for such a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff here are just awesome. Nothing is too much trouble. We attended a function and the food and service was excellent !! The view from our room was amazing ?? Great stay we will be back .. thank you to all that made our stay so memorable. Oh and super dog friendly. !

We have become regulars here for jazz/1950s breaks and are delighted that the standards remain as high as ever. The staff from the very top down are marvellous - giving a great welcome and working hard to ensure we enjoy the stay. The food and service are of a far higher quality than the 3star rating. We will ber back - soon!

Had Xmas lunch for a local ladies club, excellent ambience, warm and welcoming, first class cuisine, impeccable service, and everyone enjoyed the experince. They coped well with a variety of dietary needs. We have baooked again for next year. We would recommend their resturant to anyone. Well done!

Lovely family run hotel. Food is first class with plenty of choice. Something for everyone. Staff are equally as good. Nothing is too much effort. Friendly and professional. Location excellent. Rooms are good. One of my favourites. Can't wait to return. Thank you.

We had our wedding at the Livermead Cliff Hotel in mid August. My husband and I were amazed by the service and care given by Charles and his team. Nothing was too much and we were supported every way of the planning process. From beginning to end we had the best day ever, we never had to worry about anything and organisation on the day was A*. Everyone was raving about the amazing 3 course meal at the reception and the evening buffet! They even catered for our vegetarian, vegan, gluten free and celiac guests! In addition to this, the view is also an amazing backdrop for a wedding! We would recommend the venue to anyone for their wedding.

This hotel is certainly not for everyone. However, if you want panoramic views of Torbay, superb traditional English cuisine served in an elegant restaurant, and courteous staff, then you might be in the right place. The tide laps right up to the garden walls, and there is a large sun terrace on which to relax. The hotel is a pleasant stroll away from Torquay harbour and pier, and has a large car park. Bedrooms are comfortable, many with spectacular sea views. However, I believe there is a programme of on-going refurbishment and their style will vary according each particular room. However, if you just cannot survive without a ‘state of the art’ bedroom from a glossy magazine, you may be at the wrong hotel! Without being stuffy, I feel this hotel tries to maintain certain values that seem to be disappearing . All staff are dressed smartly, and not as found in some hotels – wearing jeans, trainers, with men’s shirts hanging out. Laid back and casual is all very well, but there are limits! The Livermead Cliff probably appeals to a more mature clientele and it is unapologetically traditional – and there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that! However, having stayed in most of the decent hotels in Torquay, this is certainly the one that I would confidently return to time after time!

On my way back home to day after a great week of food and sunshine Room I had was great no issues Food was great always is Staff could not be more helpful so polite My thanks to kerry and Claire who manged to get me a room at last minute I wanted a little bit of tlc and pampering after being ill this passed month I believe I got that feeling lot happier no Just back to relaty having to cook for myself. But will be back soon for somemore pampering very soon No issues with room windows and no rudeness. So last 2 bad reviews must be different hotel . Thanks to all at livermead cliff Hotel

I had my wedding reception at the livermead cliff hotel last week, can I just say it was the most amazing magical place to have my wedding reception the manager Charles was fantastic he guided us all through the day as smoothly as possible everything was absolutely perfect! The staff were amazing, it all looked amazing. I couldn’t have asked for anything better! All my friends & family have said what an amazing place it was & how amazing Charles was with everything. I would definitely recommend & if I could do it all again I would! :)

We verbleven 2 nachten in dit hotel. De kamer was schoon het bed comfortabel. Het ontbijtbuffet was goed. Het personeel is erg vriendelijk en doen hun best om je verblijf zo aangenaam mogelijk te maken. Het hotel heeft een terras wat uitzicht geeft op zee. Hier kun je aan het eind van de dag nog even ontspannen met een drankje.
