As some of the other reviewers, we had unpleasant experience with the resort. From the start, the lobby was rather dirty, with dirty sofas and welcome drink glasses that were not properly washed. Also, the majority of the workers didn't have any uniforms or nametags (apart from the man from the reception), so we didn't know who is the actual staff of the place. The first room we had was an ok-standard (but was said to be Superior Standard), but as we started unpacking, we noticed that the room was not cleaned properly, with a lot of dirt and insects' wings all around the room. The bathtub had mold in it and there were rugs in some spots, which also didn't seem to be washed before our arrival. We planned to ask for replacement after dinner in the city, but as we came back and turned on the light, we saw cockroaches in the bathroom. For us it was a turning point, and we wanted to switch the resort, but due to the late time, it was not possible to find any. Upon reporting that to the reception, we've been issued a new room, which was said to be a better standard. For that, we are leaving 2 stars, instead of 1. Due to the new room also being not clean and not that good overall compared to any other hotel or resort we stayed at in Sri Lanka (6 total), and with the prior experience with cockroaches, we decided to sleep there for the night, but leave for another hotel early in the morning, which we did. We cannot recommend that place in the current state.

Vue incroyable sur les montagnes, ne pas manquer le lever du soleil à 6h00 ! Buffet du petit déjeuner excellent et varié d’un jour sur l’autre. C?té restaurant, rien à redire, nos plats étaient délicieux. Service très aimable et attentionné.

Ho dormito una sola notte in questa struttura, la camera era ampia ma il bagno era molto rovinato, in particolare il doccino della doccia era rotto. Il problema principale sono stati gli insetti, purtroppo la finestra della terrazza chiude male e quindi gli insetti entrano all'interno della camera. Il personale è stato gentile e cordiale.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour d une nuit ds cet h?tel dont la vue depuis la chambre, sur Ella Rock et les collines avoisinantes verdoyantes et luxuriantes, était incroyable. L accueil, était parfait avec un personnel professionnel. Le service de restauration excellent avec de bons plats, un service à table de qualité et professionnel, avec une vue terrible au petit déjeuner sur la terrasse. . La chambre était spacieuse et confortable. Merci pour ce séjour. Ben et Co

Amazing view, good room, ok bathroom, 100% avoid restaurant. This property can be so amazing with small upgrades e.g. making reception better, making restaurant better or insta?ling just shower participation. Their views are great.

What a fantastic hotel with the most amazing views. Check was straightforward, simple and quick with friendly and amiable staff to greet us. The rooms are large and well equipped with everything you need, a comfy bed, hairdryer, safe and everything was spotlessly clean, and the views were absolutely stunning. We found all the staff to be friendly and helpful, making you feel valued and appreciated. The restaurant has amazing views over the mountain and although a small menu, (only to be expected as it's quiet season) the food that was available and served was very tasty and plentiful. The hotel in general was well maintained and as such we would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Ella.

Beautiful views, rooms very basic, but clean enough and breakfast which was included was pretty good for the price. Would absolutely recommend for a one night stay, but rooms are a bit basic for much longer - we were coming here for the views and Ella itself, not the room so all in all 4 stars

This hotel has the best viewpoint in Sri Lanka. The view is breathtaking and stays with you when you leave. Each room and the main lobby area have the incredible view. The food was good. The only thing I would say is that the bathrooms and rooms need modernising.

Let me start with what a view. The view from the common areas and room was absolutely incredible. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better view while staying in Ella. The staff was very attentive and the food was plentiful. Highly recommend staying here

Amazing setting (much better than in the photos). The hotel is on the side of the mountain, offering breathtaking views. There is a very large open lobby/dinning area where you can sit, eat and enjoy the view that reaches to infinity. We had a family room for our family of 4 and it was absolutely amazing. Two large double beds and almost floor to ceiling windows on the two corner walls, allowing you to rest while looking into nature (while no-one can see you at the same time). Bathroom a little run down but the place is so onderful that this is nor really a major issue. Breakfast was copious and very good, buffet. You can walk along the road (even at night) to Ella, which you reach in less than 10 minutes. We went for a walk early morning all the way to Ella's train station, les than 30 min. Staff offered us a couple of umbrellas in the evening when we went out for dinner, as it had rained earlier and they wanted to make sure that our walk to and from Ella would not be unpleasant. As usual all throughout Sri Lanka, great, smily, kind, helpful staff!
