What is there to say? Masseria Grofoleo is an absolute dream. It was our favorite stay of all our travels through Puglia and Matera. Emanuel and his team are extraordinary hosts—warm, genuine, and welcoming in a way that makes you feel like friends rather than guests. The setting is stunning: olive groves, lavender, flowering gardens, winding pebble paths, and a beautiful swimming pool (which we didn’t use, but loved admiring). The breakfast room, lined with floor-to-ceiling windows, overlooks the landscape and makes every morning feel magical. The rooms are elegant, spacious, and modern, with the most comfortable beds. We stayed in two rooms connected by a shared living area, which became the perfect place to unwind together in the evenings after dinner in the charming village of Locorotondo. The masseria is just a short walk to town—an easy uphill stroll past vineyards and lovely scenery—leading to one of the most enchanting villages in Italy. We were genuinely sad to leave, but we will absolutely be back to this beautiful corner of Italy and to our new friends at the masseria.

Best small luxury hotel in Puglia, Top 5 in Italy. My wife and I are traveling for 3 weeks in Italy. We stayed in hotels like Bulgari Milano , palazzo palace, Bernini palace, etc. Madeira is as good as those.

Abbiamo soggiornato in questa incantevole struttura, recentemente ristrutturata, che ha il pregio di aver conservato e rispettato l'autenticità delle vere masserie pugliesi. La location è situata nei pressi di Locorotondo ( è possibile raggiungerla a piedi con una breve passeggiata di 10min) e comoda per visitare altre meravigliose perle della Puglia come Ostuni e Martina Franca. Elevato e degno di nota il livello di servizio offerto dallo staff, sempre attento e disponibile ad assecondare le richieste della clientela, e la gentilezza e cortesia riservata ai clienti che ti fanno sentire accolto e a casa. Ottima la colazione, sempre varia e ricca, e le torte prodotte in loco; molta attenzione è anche riservata a chi ha intolleranze o allergie. Soggiorno meraviglioso!consiglio vivamente questa struttura per la bellezza della location, la gentilezza ed attenzione dello staff e per la posizione strategica per visitare la Puglia e il suo meraviglioso mare.

Abbiamo scelto la "Masseria Grofoleo" per il nostro anniversario: è stato un soggiorno semplicemente indimenticabile! Fin dal nostro arrivo ci siamo sentiti avvolti da un’accoglienza genuina e calorosa: non ci siamo mai sentiti “ospiti”, ma come parte di una grande famiglia. Ogni sorriso e ogni gesto del personale ci hanno fatto sentire coccolati e a nostro agio, con una cura e una disponibilità che raramente si incontrano. La struttura è incantevole: elegante, curata in ogni dettaglio e al tempo stesso estremamente accogliente, perfetta per vivere momenti di autentico relax. Il paesaggio circostante è uno spettacolo per gli occhi, un vero e proprio scenario da cartolina che rende l’esperienza ancora più magica. Un grazie speciale va a Emanuel, la cui attenzione, gentilezza e calore hanno reso il nostro soggiorno davvero unico. La sua passione per l’ospitalità si sente in ogni piccolo dettaglio e ha fatto la differenza, facendoci sentire davvero a casa. è stato un soggiorno dove eleganza, bellezza e accoglienza si sono incontrati in perfetta armonia. Torneremo sicuramente, con la certezza di ritrovare la stessa atmosfera calda, familiare e indimenticabile.

We had a fantastic stay. Room and grounds were fantastic. Emmanuel the host however really made the stay phenomenal. Met us ( we were late- 10:40pm arrival) in town at dinner at a restaurant he assisted keeping open. Met us then after we ate and led us to the Masseria ( 12 min walk from town or 5 min drive). Was kind, solicitous, booked ed us reservations with wonderful suggestions when requested. Breakfast was phenomenal. Staff were friendly and competent. Our room was wonderful with a view of town and the grounds on our own private Deck. Overall could not have been a nicer stay unless we had extended our time there!

Una experiencia inolvidable. Desde el primer momento Emanuel y su equipo nos recibieron con mucha amabilidad, haciéndonos sentir como en casa. Los fabulosos desayunos elaborados por María Paola fueron deliciosos. Las vistas hacia Locorotondo son fabulosas. Y la simpatía y cordialidad de Mateo hicieron todo aún más especial.

A unique and enchanting offering for those seeking a relaxing holiday in a luxurious rural setting. We enjoyed our two night stay immensely and look forward to returning. Emanuel and team were so kind and accommodating -helped us with restaurant bookings and onward transfer to Ostuni. Locorotondo is a beautiful sophisticated village less than 15 minutes walk from the Masseria Our stay here was the highlight of our two week holiday in Puglia . Grazie mille Clare , Denis and Matt

The stay at this masseria was incredible. The service, the staff, the breakfast everything amazing. Every detailed was taken care of. Our Truli design was impecable. 10 of 10!!!

Emmanuel was very helpful and the accommodations very comfortable. Our room had a patio and extra sitting area. Easy to tour the area from and lovely to relax by the pool afterwards. The breakfast was delicious and the setting in the beautiful gardens very nice as well.
