After the debacle in Campeche with the Ah Kim Pech, we were delighted with this hotel. It was less expensive than the previous but well maintained, comfortable and it also had a swimming pool near the room, just down the corridor. The reception was pleasant and affable. The centro historico was just 2 streets down so this hotel is very well situated. Al in all, I recommend it.

Había ido anteriormente y me pareció un hotel bonito; en esta ocasión me tocó una habitación que dejaba poco a desear, lo peor era el ba?o que se notaba el moho, lo que hacía que apeste a humedad, el agua de la regadera no salía bien.

Our room was ready by 2.30pm, but no towels or soap in the bathroom. There are no luggage racks or table for a lap top. Pillow covers looked dirty with stains. Had to request new one's but they also looked off color! Showerhead was a joke...trickle of water! We had Room 3 just off the main lobby. The noise of people talking or walking past the room was horrendous. Unfortunately, these small hotel are built like echo chambers! Breakfast was included, however, if you like the same breakfast everyday, which consisted of cake/fruit and horrible coffee, then this is the place for you, NOT me. The owners can do much better!

Pros: good location 2 blocks from the Parque Principal Relatively quiet Clean Pool is pretty to look at although not much seating and no deck chairs Cons: few rooms are desirable Inadequate light in rooms - either natural or artificial Not very secure - door stays open to the street and concierge is often absent Concierges not friendly or helpful I made my room reservation 3 weeks in advance and specifically requested a quiet room with natural light from a window. I was given a room near the main lobby with no natural light and a window onto the main hallway where people passed back and forth. The room was full of dark old furniture. I didn’t realize breakfast was included until my second morning. I didn’t realize there was a communal refrigerator in the lobby until I saw someone using it. Breakfast tables are crowded together in front of ground floor poolside rooms. When showers in the upstairs rooms are being used, there is a loud rumbling from a unit near the pool. If you are lucky enough to stay in an upstairs room that looks onto the pool, I believe several of these have been renovated with white furniture. I briefly saw #16 and I would stay here again only if I could be guaranteed that room. It looked like #20 was very special, with its own patio, and probably a much higher price. Otherwise I would not stay again.
