Hotel Gasthof Gribelehof

The 3 stars superior Hotel Gribelehof enjoys a unique location on the Schloßberg Mountain, featuring panoramic views of Lienz and the Bruck Castle. It offers a sauna, free parking and breakfast with specialties from East Tyrol.

All rooms provide satellite TV, a bathroom and large beds.

The Gribelehof serves regional, partly from the owners' farm, specialties and home-made specialties as well as good home cooking, either indoors in the restaurant, the Bauernstube rustic Alpine-style dining room dating from 1771, or on the terrace, which features panoramic views ofLienz.

Guests can benefit of the Gribelehof’s garden, where a petting zoo with ponies, cats and a dog can be found. A large children’s playground is also located in the garden.

  • Guest：A lovely place just out of town. Amazing views over the countryside too. We walked down to the town and got a taxi back - the best 8 euros spent as it's up a very steep hill! We enjoyed a drink on our balcony before dinner and then went down to the marquee to eat. However, maybe we should have checked the menu as vegetarian options were very limited. I didn't enjoy my meal but my husband did. Breakfast was great though, very relaxed and plenty of choice. Rooms were comfortable, good shower pressure but the old wooden floors creaked above us. Definitely a place with lots of character though!
  • Guest：Hotel molto, molto pulito. Curato nelle stanze e negli arredi, certamente e giustamente in stile Tirolese. Personale molto cordiale e disponibile. Super pet friendly??. Posizione eccellente, a pochi passi da una funivia che ti porta verso la partenza di molti sentieri davvero belli.
  • Guest：The hotel Gasthof Gribelehof is a great place to stay. Don't expect 5 star luxury but if you like a hotel that has character and charm then stay here. We stayed right in the eve which had a cute small balcony. All the staff were friendly. We had a good meal at the restaurant and a yummy pudding.
  • Guest：Premessa: voto giusto sarebbe 3,5, ma visto che non si può dare ho optato per il 4. Pensione storica, sembra un piccolo borgo, sopra il castello di Lienz. Vista bellissima! Struttura storica, molto religiosa, con arredi di alto valore nelle aree comuni. Staff decisamente cordiale e disponibile. La stanza familiare era molto grande, buona pulizia, letto sufficiente…. Naturalmente arredi un po’ “antiquati”. La colazione appena sufficiente… mi aspettavo qualche dolce austriaco, visto che sono eccellenti. D’inverno deve essere stupendo con la pista che arriva direttamente in hotel!
