Lovely place in centre of town. Rooms above a lovely cafe/ restaurant. Very comfortable bedroom with great toiletries. Friendly welcoming staff Delicious breakfast very accommodating as we went slightly off piste ! Would stay at The Fig again

Very strange how my previous review of this place just vanished???... We found this place to be average at best. The room was a bit dusty, and we could hear almost everything that guests in the room next to ours were talking about. The noise of the seagulls on the building in the morning is unbearable, hence the earplugs on bedside table... As we came downstairs for breakfast, we were told they are not opening for another 20 minutes and we will have to come back. Food was very average, eggs on toast with avo...GOOD LUCK cutting it using the knife provided! Coffee was nice enough, but the artisan ceramics they serve it in will burn your hands first. IMHO the place is just overrated, and they put style over substance.

Visited on a Sunday we had coffee and rhubarb waffles they were delicious.everything on the menu looks amazing and we will definitely revisit when next in rye.the great reviews are well deserved.lovely place a real gem don’t miss this one!

What a great place! There are just 4 rooms, all different, above The Fig cafe. We stayed in Indo, which was lovely. Beautifully decorated, well equipped and very comfortable. The breakfasts are magnificent, and the staff are very friendly. And god, the coffee is so good! Highly recommended.

I booked 2 nights to stay in Indo and was not disappointed. The bed was comfy and I really liked the unique set up with the huge bathroom and view across Rye. Also no shortage of coffee, tea and water provided in the room. I had dinner here both evenings and the menu was very good. Nice to have a range of original dishes to chose from. Great puddings too. Breakfast is served in the restaurant at 9am before opening to the public at 9.30am. You can choose anything off the brunch menu or the staff will provide toast etc. Three things stand out for me: - service was excellent and I truly felt looked after. Even when I was leaving for a long drive home, they checked if I needed takeaway coffee -The Fig is unique but in a good way and great to stay somewhere with its own character - great to stay somewhere that looks after solo customers so well.

My husband and I stayed for one night in June from Thursday to Friday. We stayed in the Indo room which was on the top floor at the back of the property. We had a warm welcome and were showed to our room which was a reasonable size and clean. We chose the room with the bath which was lovely! The hand and body washes were refillable which was a nice touch from an eco perspective. We had breakfast the next morning which was before the restaurant opened to the public which was a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent and included a coffee and a smoothie. As parents to an 18mo old we don’t get the opportunity to come away very often and were very glad to have such a lovely stay. Thank you - we would definitely return to The Fig!

We stayed for 2 nights for a mid-week break, bed and breakfast. The whole experience was stress free and enjoyable from our warm welcome to checkout. We were in the Boho room, which is at the very top of the building overlooking the High Street. The room was spacious and clean, the bed super comfy and the shower room large and with a great shower. We felt at home at once and found the room incredibly quiet: We didn't need the ear plugs as the dawn chorus was relatively short and subdued compared to some seaside locations where we have stayed! Breakfast was excellent and healthy ?? Location perfect for walking around Rye.

Had a fabulous weekend at The Fig. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. We booked for the evening meal with small sharing plates which was inventive and delicious. We all wished we had booked again for the second night. Would highly recommend and the service was great too!

One of the best small boutique hoteIs I ever been to. Nice big and clean room with a marveleous view, a grand doublebed, big bathroom with a well functioned shower. Wonderful breakfast, lovely staff. Highly recomendable. Priceworthy. Will be back.
