If you want paradise, this is your place, however, if you are looking for something a little more luxurious, this is probably a little less boujee for you. We were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful the resort was. Direct access to pristine sand and the most amazing crystal clear waters. The staff were incredibly helpful and very accommodating. The food was good, albeit, we found it difficult earing there more than two nights as it was a little bit samey. Ice cold beer, which is always a winner and some cocktails, tasty, albeit very improvised. There is a pool, however, located away from the beach which was my only negative amd the air in the rooms was not the best, so can get incredibly warm. We would definitely visit this resort again.

Sehr sch?ne Lage und famili?r. Grosszügige Bungalows. Sehr herzliche Mitarbeiter. Essen und Service sehr gut. Restaurant direkt am Meer. K?nnen Hotel als Familie sehr empfehlen.

Het zijn ruime kamers schoon en een mooie badkamer met wc de ligging is super je loopt zo het strand op. Personeel aardig en zorgzaam. We gingen altijd cocktails drinken en eten bij klein strand tentje links van het resort zie foto’s de BQ is een aanrader ook de cocktails zijn heerlijk .

I've never left any hotel with such a great thankfulness, touched almost to tears. Cozy cottages, breathtaking beach, fantastic staff... just a paradise on earth??

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in November 2025 in one of the beachfront ‘Sunset bungalows’. To say I feel conflicted writing this review would be an understatement, there were many positives about the resort but also some quite significant things that could be better. THE GOOD:- Location - set right on a very nice piece of unspoilt beach, far from the madding crowds! Staff - all were really friendly and helpful Restaurant - good, fresh cooked local food Cleanliness - our room and all the public areas were very clean Moped Hire - allowed us to get out and see the island on virtually traffic free roads, reasonably priced at 250thb / day Free water & snacks in the room & free fruit available all day long at the restaurant all very much appreciated. THE AREAS THAT COULD BE BETTER: The Room - our room was one of the more expensive in the resort (i think because of the view) and was certainly very spacious but it felt basic in terms of the furnishings, everything felt like it had seen better days and needed upgrading / refurbishing. The roof terrace could be lovely but was the one area that we felt missed out on housekeeping - all leaving it feeling a little unloved. Hot Water - the only hot water in the bathroom is to the shower and ours just did not work properly! The hotel attended and attempted to fix it but really they didn’t make much difference, most days we had luke warm showers at best. I expected more than this! The Hotel pool is small, away from the main action of the hotel and not somewhere we wanted to spend time. In summary, there is quite a lot to like about this hotel but some things given some limited investment and focus could be much better. To be fair I think this is one of the best properties on the island (which is very small, beautiful and very much undeveloped) but for what we paid I think i expected more, other hotels we have stayed in for not much more per night on other islands on this trip have delivered a better all round comfort experience.

Koh Mak White Sand Beach is een verborgen parel. Wat hebben wij ons daar verwend gevoeld, niet alleen door de prachtige ruime bungalow die alles heeft wat je nodig hebt, meer zelfs-:), maar ook door de staf. Ze zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De hele omgeving ziet er paradijselijk uit, mooie tuin, fijn strand. Er zijn genoeg ligbedden ook op plekken met gras als je niet in het zand wilt zitten. De rooftop bar met vrij uitzicht op de zee zullen we ook niet gauw vergeten! Het eiland zelf is heel makkelijk te verkennen met een scooter/brommer. Het is een heel natuurlijk rustig eiland, ideaal voor de echte rustzoekers. Wij weten het zeker, we gaan nog een keer terug en dan langer -:)!!!

Hallo wir wahren für 8 Tage vor Ort. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, saubere Zimmer und sehr nettes Personal :) Einzig auf den Terrassen oben auf dem Bungalow w?hre es sch?n wenn es ein Licht einen kleinen Tisch und zwei Stühle geben würde !! Strom war zwar nach oben verlegt, aber funktioniert hat auf dem Dach nichts !! lg.Markus

My wife and I (couple in our 50's) stayed here in Nov 2024. The hotel and bungalow rooms are superb. The bed was firm as usual in Thailand, but it had some give in it to make it a little bit more comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with a fridge as well. The AC was good and done the job well. the bathroom was lovely and very spacious indeed. We also had a roof terrace with sunbeds if you didn't want to sit by the pool or on the beach. Breakfast and all meals we had in the restaurant were lovely. The staff all spoke good English and were very attentive and helpful! we booked a scooter from reception at a reasonable price. The location is right on the long sandy beach to both sides of the hotel. We would certainly recommend this hotel and will be visiting again. Tip, book directly with the hotel for a better price. If you let them know when you will be arriving they will send a taxi to pick you up from the ferry, speedboat.

Visited Ocean Rooftop Bar in White Sands Hotel Resort. It is really a rooftop bar and very cozy too. We enjoyed Drinks and also tried the food. The pricing is reasonable and the portions very huge and the quality was really great. The view is amazing we unfortunately came after sundown

Service - very friendly. They pick you up at the ferry. This is included in the price. Always ready to help and smiling. Rooms - Huge. But they need to dot the i’s and cross the t’s. For example, mosquito door didn’t close properly. The drain in the shower was terrible. Cleanliness - okay. They should check the beaches and resort for plastics and stuff. Amenities - they pick up and bring you to the ferry. You can rent a motorbike, however they should do that better. It was not clean at all. They were confused about which key where. They said they hadn’t helmets for us, even though they had it. There is a pool. The chairs at the beach should have some kind of umbrellas for the sun. They could maybe at the check in explain a bit about the island what to do or see (it’s very small there is not much, but there is some things to do or see). Breakfast - not included for us. However food is delicious all day long. Location - at the beach. The beach is very good. We didn’t agree with some reviews about the beach. It’s lovely. Price - very fair.
