Very nice hotel! The view is amezing, staff very kind and helpful, big and clean rooms. The breakfast was delicious, and consiatent ( english breakfast with fresh juice). It has an authentic fort/medieval castel, which is awesome! Totally recommend them!

The property was absolutely stunning, the decoration and everything about it was high class. The room was exceptionally comfortable with much thought going into every little detail. We loved the fact there was an on-site chef and there was a large choice of items on the menu. We ate in both nights and the food really was excellent, and extremely tasty. We would absolutely recommend eating in and this was backed up by the tasty and plentiful breakfast in the morning.

Прибыли поздно вечером. дорога была не очень хорошей буквально 300 м. Гостиница построена в стиле Средневековья Шикарный Холл. Номер был сьют огромный, с двумя кроватями и джакузи. Завтрак в полне достойный. Но самое завораживающее это вид на горы, ради которого стоит приезжать в этот отель.

Vielen Dank für die herzliche Begrü?ung. Wir haben uns in Ihrem au?ergew?hnlichen Haus (Burgcharakter) sehr wohl gefühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist Ihr aufmerksamer Service und vorzügliche Küche (Frühstück und Abendessen). Mit dem TukTuk waren wir schnell im Ortskern.

Fort Windshire has shown me a new view of Little England AkA Nuwaraeliya. Travelled here with my kids aged 10&8. From the get go Richard made it so homely and welcoming. We knew we reached our safe place for the next 4 days. Nishanka from the kitchen whipped the most amazing rich Hot chocolate as we arrived to keep us warm and energetic after a 6 hour drive. I was fortunate enough to be put up at the Suite. Which had the most amazing views to the east was green forestry( south end of Moon planes) and to the north, beautiful colorful houses. With little patches of vegetable farming. It was always quiet and the view as the hotel is built quite high up the mountain was nothing but spectacular. Having a Jacuzzi within my living space meant after a long day of walking in town. I had my own private masseuse waiting to relax all my muscles. The view from the roof top where you dine in is astonishing. Nothing but stars at night and beautiful sunshine during the day. Even sitting down for meals was exciting as the windows could be rolled open for fresh mountain breeze. All in all if you are looking for a private quiet beautiful place away from town yet a 2 minute drive from all the fun. This is the place to be. Home away from home. Starting from the elegant furniture to the soft pillows and amazingly tasty food. I would always come back for more. Thank you team Fort Windshire.

An absolute gem of a find. Fort Windshire is an incredible, beautiful hotel. First impression - wow! You enter via a large ornate black door and are immersed in a castle like fortress. The vibe is all dark wood and stone and ‘walls’ are full sheets of glass with amazing views of the mountains and tea plantations. It’s so beautifully decorated medieval looking furniture with wall hangings, sconces and huge ornamental light fittings. It’s like walking into a movie set! The staff - are wonderfully helpful and attentive and offered a beautiful gift on arrival with welcome drinks. Richard was so very helpful and nothing was too much trouble to make our stay perfect. The room - double wow! Our room was huge! 2 massive double beds, a 2 person jacuzzi bath, a corner leather sofa, 2 x tv’s, gorgeous en suite with rainfall shower (water was very hot and plentiful to quash an earlier review) a long balcony and full height glass on 3 elevations to admire the stunning views. The room is the highest property so very private to wander around but there are beautifully made opulent curtains at every window to further protect your privacy. Dining - there is a rooftop dining room offering evening meal, although we didn’t utilise this. We had breakfast here which was superb. Fresh fruit, freshly cooked full English breakfast followed by toast and jams and of course tea! Richard arranged a tuk tuk into the town for us, our driver waited for us to enjoy our evening out and brought us back to the hotel all for just ￡7! I highly recommend this gorgeous, opulent, unique hotel to other travellers, you will not be disappointed.

La décoration de l’h?tel est magnifique. On est transporté dans un h?tel en Grande Bretagne. La chambre est spacieuse. Le personnel est très accueillant. Les repas du soir et le petit-déjeuner sont délicieux. Il n’y a pas de bouteille d’eau fournie mais une carafe d’eaux . Il manque un meuble pour poser les valises.Nous avions eu une chambre sans jacuzzi. Vous avez une grande baie vitrée devant vous. Merci à l’équipe pour leur accueil et au cuisinier.

After long day, tired, coming to hotel, preparing to take a shower, opening the hot water and finding out there is no hot water. Having discussions with reception guy, they are checking something, 1 hour later the situation is the same. There is nothing left but to leave the hotel early in the morning. The location is also bad.

Spacious rooms with breathtaking views of hills, forests and beautiful Nuwara Eliya! Staff were welcoming and offered a warm cup of Ceylon Tea and a gift. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We requested a packed lunch as we took the train from Nanuoya to Demodara and they were happy to do this for us. 10 minutes away from the town centre.
