What a vacation. The watergym guy Dimitar WOW WHAT A GUY, he was so friendly, a master at darts and shuffleboard. Would recomend this place for everyone. The food was good, The place was nice, the bartender was perfect, especially Stavros. The rooms were clean and cozy, I will definetly come back.

Lovely resort on a fine location. Nice pool area and a fun little waterpark with four slides. Be prepared to pay a quite large entrance fee to the small waterpark (15e/person). Very basic breakfast with super friendly staff. Pack your earplugs if you are a light sleeper, for you will be able to hear all the noises happening outside your room loud and clear. This didn’t bother others in our party since I was the only super light sleeper, though :)

Samen met mijn vriendin hier 8 dagen verbleven: Het resort was erg mooi, de kamer was schoon en de locatie was top. Het uitzicht vanuit onze kamer was prachtig. We vonden de kamer zelf wel wat verouderd, maar dat stoorde ons eigenlijk niet. Het buffet was prima. We hebben elke dag ontbeten en drie keer gebruikgemaakt van het diner. De overige avonden hebben we buiten het resort gegeten, omdat we dit gezelliger vonden. Rondom het resort zijn voldoende barretjes en restaurants te vinden. Zodra je het resort uitloopt, sta je er eigenlijk meteen tussen. Bus naar Chania stopt bijna voor de deur, duurt +- 20 min en kost voor 2 personen €4.40. Verbeterpunten: 1. Geen drinken inbegrepen bij het diner (halfpension) We kwamen er pas tijdens het diner achter dat drankjes niet inbegrepen waren, wat ons van tevoren niet was verteld. Alleen water mocht je zelf pakken, wat we een beetje vreemd vonden. Je kon apart drank bestellen en gelijk betalen (Je kreeg dan wel A-Merk). 2. Gebrek aan informatie bij aankomst Bij het inchecken kregen we nauwelijks informatie over de faciliteiten van het resort of het zusterhotel, terwijl we hier wel gebruik van mochten maken. Dit had duidelijker gecommuniceerd mogen worden. 3. Groene aanslag bij het zwembad Rondom het zwembad zat een groene rand die op algen leek. Dit gaf een onverzorgde indruk. Conclusie: We hebben een fijne tijd gehad en zouden het resort zeker aanbevelen, maar adviseren wel om bovenstaande punten te verbeteren of aan te passen.

We went all inclusive. It is a Very pretty hotel, loved the pretty flowers around the hotel. You could see that the hotel was well maintained. We ended up with a huge 2 bedroom apartment with an amazing sea view. The balcony was huge like a penthouse suite. We didn’t expect this at all , so thank you so much for this. The pool area was nice and clean, but we did notice a few loose tiles lying around. You do have to get up early for a sun bed otherwise you will not get a bed at all. The food was repetitive , but it was nice. At the restaurant you did have to wait to be seated , which I’ve never experienced before. Usually you can just walk in and sit where you want, but here you were shown to a table. Not a big deal but it would just have been easier to walk in to the restaurant and find a table you want. My children made loads of friends there , and used the water slides daily which is free for all inclusive guests . The cocktails were amazing , but the beer didn’t taste the best. The rooms were cleaned daily , they were spotless . The staff were all so lovely at the hotel and made you feel welcome. Good location , everything was on the doorstep in terms of shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel did not have evening entertainment at all, and very limited in the day. There was darts , and aqua aerobics in the day. The sister hotel did all the evening entertainment across the road but this was even limited. Overall I enjoyed my holiday and so did my children. I was sad to leave, and we did have a good experience. The Greek people are some of the nicest people you can meet, and very welcoming!

Honest review. We had a good holiday. On arrival, staff not the most welcoming, but it was late. Rooms were very clean. Pool area good. There was NO music round the pool or entertainment. One animation guy turns up at lunch with a speaker doing aqua for about half an hour. That's it. That for me was the negative. They do entertainment at the hotel across...but who wants to change hotel. The food was nice...what you'd expect. But wasn't worth all inclusive. Nothing exciting. Snack bar was fruit...hot dogs cakes. Bar staff lovely. Restaurant staff lovely. Lady in the shop adorable. It is situated in a good area. Aghia marina to the right. I must say, the toilet area was so clean ..and that's a big plus. Would I stay again...not sure. Only if they upped their daily entertainment. Some music on...some water games.

Complesso a 5 stelle che è tutt’uno con il Porto Platanias Beach Resort&Spa. Abbiamo prenotato al Village sotto suggerimento della struttura che vantava camere più confortevoli rispetto al Beach Resort ma a mio dire le camere non sono all’altezza di un 5 stelle: armadio minuscolo e mobilia datata. Ma, tralasciando questo, c’è da dire che si paga tutto extra: campi da tennis e Padel, parcheggio, acquascivoli al costo di 15 euro al giorno e addirittura c’è un costo giornaliero per la cassaforte. Quando abbiamo prenotato il campo da Padel si sono raccomandati di andare in reception a pagare PRIMA di accedervi nonostante avessero preventivamente chiesto il numero di camera. Pagato dal 4 al 10 agosto 4000 euro! Non tanto certamente paragonandolo ad un 5 stelle altrove ma sicuramente non all’altezza dei gran parte dei 5 stelle. In compenso si accede liberamente al Beach Resort che a mio avviso è di gran lunga superiore!

Fantastic resort, top rate service, convenient location. Great place for a relaxing vacation.

We spent an amazing week in Porto Platanias Village. The rooms were spacious and tidy, a lot of delicious food options to choose from, the staff was also very kind and helpful, especially in the restaurant. The hotel Porto Platanias Beach offers a wide range of various activities, including things for kids that our daughter absolutely loved (especially two animators - Hristiana as Elsa, and Tedi as Super Mario).
