We have visited this pub before, on our last trip to Chester, and thought it was great that time too! Last time we had the bar bites, 3 different small plates, all were delicious, especially the pork bites. On this visit we were just drinking, at first, our first pub of the day. We decided to have something light to eat after a pint, and ordered a beef and mushroom sandwich. As we were sharing it the lady serving asked if we wanted a spare plate, which we thought was nice and said yes. When the food arrived we were so impressed!! The sandwich had been cut in two and was served on two plates both with chips, salad and coleslaw! This was such a thoughtful gesture by the AMAZING chef! The food was delicious!! Yet again!! The whole place has a friendly atmosphere. The staff are lovely and the food is DELICIOUS!! Thank you!! We will DEFINITELY be back soon!

?????????? We stayed at The Saddle Inn, Chester on Friday night and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was brilliant – relaxed, unpretentious, and full of friendly faces. Styled as a proper rock bar, the whole place has a unique charm. Our room was the “Slayer” room – spotless, fun, and full of character with drums as bedside tables and a guitar on the wall. After checking in, we headed back down for drinks (very reasonably priced) and some food. The food was absolutely beautiful – cooked to perfection, presented with care, and tasted amazing. We loved it so much we went back for food two days in a row! The vibe of the bar is second to none, and meeting the lovely owner really showed how much passion goes into the place. We even got to meet her two gorgeous French bulldogs, which was a bonus as we have one at home too. An amazing rock bar with a brilliant atmosphere, great food, and unique rooms. When we’re next in Chester, we’ll 100% be staying at The Saddle Inn again.

Popped in for a pint on a Saturday afternoon whilst waiting for bus back to Chester station. Decor was Rock themed, even the pumps were in the shape of guitar heads. Staff friendly, but didn’t appear to be in any hurry to serve in this occasion. Only one Cask Ales available when I visited which I enjoyed in the covered courtyard out the back. Games Rooms also appeared to be available, and Live bands were advertised for the evenings. Beer reasonably priced, and pub is Cask-mark accredited. Would definitely visit again next time I am in the area

We had a great stay! The beds were super comfortable, and the room decor gave off an awesome rock vibe. The live band was absolutely brilliant, and the atmosphere when the music was playing was spot on—such a great vibe throughout the place. Once we headed upstairs, it was nice and quiet, and we couldn’t hear the pub at all. The location was perfect, and the owners were really friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

Great Bar right in the heart of Chester! It had live music, good drinks and a lovely full English breakfast . Fabulous staff who were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them. We loved it so much that we have already booked our return trip !

Fantastic location just 5 minutes away from the centre. Welcoming and friendly staff. Loved the rock themed rooms which is carried on throughout the pub. Decor is a little bit tired but that actually goes well with the theme. Breakfast is amazing set me up for the whole day. Had great sleep.

This visit was on the back of a Christmas voucher. The pub is rock themed and so are the rooms. We stayed in the Kiss room. The overall experience of staying in a rock themed pub was very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was very good and reasonably priced. My only regret was not having a premium room, the Kiss room is small.

We had a very enjoyable stay. We stayed in the AC DC themed room, which was very spacious. It's quirky and I loved the drums as bedside tables. The pub itself is within the city centre and close to all the shops etc. Our sleep was great and the bed was ample. Shower and bathroom both decent. We had the breakfast in the morning, and it was super tasty! We would definitely recommend!

Wonderfully quirky hotel with each room having a rock theme. We were in the Pantera room. The bedside tables were drums! Staff couldn't have been more helpful. Little blip with the toilet but the plumber came quickly and recommended the best Italian ever. Breakfast was amazing. As the world's fussiest eater, they custom made my breakfast. Posted a few photos on Facebook and loads of friends want to visit. I can't recommend the place enough!
