Lovely friendly staff.. great interior and good breakfast..
Didn't enjoy finding long black hairs in the bath tub, and linen smelt damp ..
But still a great place to stay .
Staff were all bizarrely miserable without exception from what we experienced. It was really odd and was quite a vibe killer for what was otherwise an outstandingly beautiful hotel and location
Clean room, great steaks, breakfast was what we needed to get up the big hill and staff were welcoming - but short staffed at the bar and our room was in the basement overlooking the car park … can’t expect a lake view for the price I suppose
Walking trip
Room's were clean, good breakfast, ideal for walking .View's were stunning. Staff were friendly. Not many car parking space but the car park was about 2 mins away. Overall a good place to stay
Great location
Lovely Location on the edge of Ullswater. Scenic drive to and from Glenridding. Clean confrontable room. The food good general pub fare nothing special.
The Inn was beautiful. The room was spacious. The restaurant had many options. The walls were a bit scuffed and dirty. There was no AC in the room. The night we were there it was very warm. There was one fan in the room which helped somewhat. The TV channels didn’t work. Overall it was a solid option.
Good overall but rooms without aircon was a disapp
No air con; service ok; hotel rooms good and buffet breakfast excellent and quick if you want an early/speedy exit
Would go again
The hotel was perfectly located for walking. The room was very clean there was just some lipstick/ makeup marks on the bathroom wall which I didn't expect as the room was expensive. But overall it was a luxury experience. Breakfast was nice
