Guest：We needed a quiet relaxing break so decided to go to the Lake District as neither of us had been before, we booked Slack Cottage as it looked perfect for what we needed and we were definitely not disappointed. It started with the most loveliest of welcomes from the cottage owners, Chris & Liz who showed us to our lovely room which overlooked Lake Windermere , each day was started with a beautiful breakfast cooked by Liz and served to us by Chris, perfect hosts and so helpful to us by recommending the most beautiful places to visit. Guest：Wonderful 3 night stay at Slack Cottage. Chris & Liz were very welcoming , Location of the guest house is idyllic with stunning view across Lake Windermere. Room was perfect ; Clean & well equipped with everything we needed. Breakfast was a choice full English or continental, with fruit and cereal available, we had full English which was delicious. Guest：Slack Cottage is truly a hidden gem. A wonderful cottage nestled amazing scenery. Liz and Chris are superb hosts who welcomed us into their beautiful home. There is great attention to detail in the provision made for guests such as the selection of teas and fresh milk in the bedroom. Again there was a very good selection of items at breakfast and the cooked breakfast was delicious and used local ingredients. Our bed was very comfy and the view from the window was superb. We will definitely be returning .
