Visited with my wife recently and this is a fabulous boutique style hotel . I came across it by chance online and its a gem . Food is excellent , location is beautiful , its got its own beautiful beach behind the hotel and the staff are so friendly and chatty . There are also holiday homes onsite and some new paddle courts . The hotel is a short spin from clifden , well worth a visit.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was one of the best I have had at a hotel. Great variety and freshly made. The evening meal was of a very high standard and a good choice menue.
We arrived in September as a couple from clare looking for a relaxing getaway, greeted by a lovely women called Marian in reception, she was exceptional, professional and friendly she really does go out of her way for everyone, nothing is a bother to her , she is a credit to the hotel , we got a beautiful two bed suite overlooking the bay , everything was spotless and so comfortable and cozy , the food was top class and the service from all members of staff was excellent, breakfast was amazing, variety from a beautiful Buffet to full irish and pancakes, everything was perfect for our stay , the outdoor sauna , jacuzzi and seaweed baths are a must ?? the owners are really lovely people and work exceptionally hard we can't wait to return ??
We have stayed in the Connemara Sands Hotel several times down through the years and it has never disappointed. The location is amazing but it's the warm,relaxed atmosphere that makes it extra special. Marion at reception was friendly and helpful as were the staff in the spa and the restaurant. We enjoyed relaxing treatments in the spa and the outdoor jacuzzi was a wonderful new addition especially on a drizzling Connemara day. The food was delicious and the service perfect. We went to relax for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Ein sch?nes, gemütliches Hotel mit tollen Menschen. Sehr famili?r und auch kulinarisch top. Menschenleere, wei?e Str?nde mit kristallklarem Wasser. Einfach perfekt um mal richtig durchzuatmen.
We had a beautiful family dinner at the Connemara Sands Hotel last week. It was absolutely delicious melt in the mouth food cooked with love you can tell The waiter and waitresses that served us were totally professional and most of all friendly Attention to detail was clear to be seen throughout And the young bar man pulled a lovely pint of Guinness ! And made a great pot of tea… Julian I believe!

Lovely place. rooms are great, everywhere in the hotel is very well kept clean and fresh. All the staff a friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant was fantastic.
Lovely hotel , staff is very helpful and super friendly . Room was excellent . A very special mention for the restaurant , the food was phenomenal . Breakfast was also excellent . We only stayed 2 nights there but are thinking on returning next year for a few days more . When we were in Dublin we noticed the hotel was listed in the 100 list of hotels to stay in Ireland .
