Akademiya Hotel
Akademihotellet is a small, charming hotel with a great location in the heart of Uppsala’s historic quarter, between the castle and the cathedral, near Uppsala university and the city centre. A perfect stay for both business and pleasure.
Our cozy hotel rooms offer charm and interior details from the 1930’s when the house was built, with views facing either the neighborhood of Pelle Svanslös (Peter No-Tail, a famous Swedish literary character), or our courtyard and the Uppsala cathedral. In many of our rooms, you will find more about the history of Uppsala and its historical figures. We call them Rooms with history.
In addition to our 42 hotel rooms, we offer four meeting and conference rooms for up to 40 people and a hotel bar in a warm and friendly atmosphere, with a bar menu served daily from 11 am to 10 pm (the kitchen closes at 9:30 pm).
We also have a sauna with showers and a small relaxation area.
New additional hotel building
Akademihotellet expands with 13 individually designed hotel rooms in the historical building Clasonska gården next to Akademihotellet. This new part of the hotel opens late autumn 2025. Read more here.
