I don't normally do bad reviews and stay in hotels around 30/40 nights a year. Other than the location and pool this experience was very poor. The WiFi is not suitable for video calls or streaming. The Aircon doesn't lower the temperature effectively at all which for a hot place makes sleeping very hard. The water is a trickle and doesn't run hot which is okay after a hot day in the dunes but reflects poorly on the hotel. When arriving and paying by card a 5% fee is levied which isn't written anywhere. They rushed us out of our room and charged us 20 soles for the extra hour we were there despite it not being busy. They wouldn't even let us stay by the pool after checking out even though it wasn't busy.

El lugar es lindo. Tal cual las fotos. Bonita piscina y cuartos decentes. Lo malo es todo lo demás. No me voy a quejar de la arena estando en medio del desierto, pero me hubiera gustado que se esforzaran más en mantener limpio el hotel y sobre todo la piscina. A mi cuarto no entraron nunca para sacar la basura, para cambiar toallas o para tender la cama, pero si entraron para sacar el control remoto de mi cuarto para que otro huésped pueda usar su televisor. Nunca me avisaron y me tildaron de desordenado cuando bajé a reclamar. "Ya aparecerá" me dijo el mismo encargado que luego admitió haber entrado a mi cuarto y haber sacado el control. Julia en recepción (que se esforzó en sobremanera en que tengamos una buena experiencia) y las se?oras de cocina (con su amable disposición) fueron lo único que puedo rescatar del personal del hotel. El objetivo de la dirección de la Hostería Suiza parece ser sacar la mayor utilidad posible de un hotel decadente en un pueblo decadente. Pusieron un barman cerca a la piscina dos días cobrando como si fuera un bar concurrido de la Huacachina que en vez de impulsar a los huéspedes a quedarse y consumir nos empujaba a otros locales con mejor ambiente, más variedad y mejores precios. Parece que la Huacachina ya vio sus mejores días y ya no volverán. Poco por desidia de sus habitantes y otro por abandono de las autoridades. Pero sobretodo por el afán de exprimir al turista de todo lo que se pueda. Creo q esta es mi última visita a la Huacachina.

No lo recomiendo. El costo por el servicio no se compensa . Poca amabilidad, te quieren cobrar x todo. Si se te rompe un vaso o se ensucia la sabana (si vas con ni?os), te quieren cobrar extra. De verdad existen mejores opciones con mejor ser. El desayuno es básico.

The hotel made us pay 18% tax, although according to the booking conditions it should not have been. We are not citizens of Peru and did not stay in the territory longer than 59 days, the entry dates are in our passports. Since the booking was on Booking, it was no longer possible to cancel it without losing the payment. There was no hot water in the room and the shower was broken. Unfortunately, we found out about this after we had already unpacked our things. In fairness, it should be noted that after complaining about the water, we were immediately moved to a room of a higher category without increasing the price, but it is still unclear why this happened in a hotel that positions itself as a 3-star hotel with a room rate of $ 100 per day. The breakfast was meager, and also had nothing to do with 3 stars.

Dirty! It’s not busy at all - you have time, clean please! You need a manager, there’s no one at reception, no one speak English.. it could be a nice place, clean please! Location is great but place is not take care of :( food just ok Pool nice but dirty!!

The property was okay for cleanliness, but it was very noisy from early evening to late evening. I had to put in ear beats and turn up the volume with my calm app to get to sleep. At check-in I had to pay for the room when I had the receipt that I paid through ******* before my trip. There seems to be a lack of communication between the hotel and *******.

It is at the end of a U shaped pathway around the oasis with a great view on the pool side of the dunes. Very close to restaurants and other fun places around like banana bar. At the same time, its quiet despite the music nearby all night. Nice rooms and the make good trip reccomendations. Definitely safe.

Went to Hosteria Suiza in may 2024 as a couple. Location is excellent, a bit on the side of the town so that is quiet yet close to everything. Pool is amazing with a great view. Staff was very nice overall. Downsides are the absence of AC, the lack of sound isolation of the windows. But overall would stay here again.
