  • Guest:We recently had a holiday at the Silva Beach Hotel and would like to say how fantastic the hotel and staff were throughout our stay. The reception staff/porters gave a very warm welcome when we arrived and offered a thorough guide of what the hotel had to offer. The hotel was in a great location with public services virtually right outside the hotel if required. The room was clean and comfortable with double and single bed with a nice patio area outside overlooking the pool. We went all-inclusive and were not disappointed. The food and choice each day was fabulous and special mention to the executive chef . As a coeliac who requires to eat gluten free food the executive chef took time out everyday to go through my dietary needs. Nothing was too much trouble for him and for that I was truly grateful as that was my main worry travelling. The facilities were first class with choice of the two pools and more than enough sun beds to lounge around on with even more by the beach area. The hotel staff even left a birthday cake and lovely letter in our room which was amazingly thoughtful and really showed they care about their customers and make sure they have a great stay. Big thank you for the gesture.. Thanks again Silva Beach Hotel for making this a fantastic holiday and definitely hope to return in the near future.
  • Guest:Just returned from a weeks stay at this hotel, the reception was very pleasant, Konnie on the desk was very polite and helpful, the porter was polite, he even came out of the hotel, crossed the road to fetch our cases. Once in the room it was spacious and spotless clean, pool towels were already on the table, and water in the fridge, air conditioning was already switched on. The hotel was very Cretian looking as we walked around the grounds which made it feel really inviting and relaxing, the pool bar was great, ZACK was brilliant and nothing troubled him to have a good conversation with him, the main buffet restaurant was amazing, if you couldn’t find anything to eat here there must be something wrong with your taste of food, the variety was excellent. Morning, noon and night.it was the last week of the hotel before shut down, we thought the quality of food might of dropped off abit with so little guests BUT NO IT DIDNT !!. The quality kept the same (perfect). The staff in the restaurant were fantastic, polite, smiling, and soon as your plate was finished with it was taken away, the place was spotless. Also the weather gods must of been looking down on us because we had hot weather all week, 24 to 30 degrees, brilliant just what us brits need before we go into our winter . We would highly recommend this Hotel it’s a beautiful place, it’s not a concrete jungle, as I said earlier it’s very Cretian, warm and welcoming. Xx
  • Guest:We stayed at the Silva Beach, as an older couple, in early October. Check in was easy although a bit of an ouch for the hotel tax and the hire of a room safe. The receptionist tried to insist on cash for the hotel tax but was out of luck as I did not have enough euros. Paid by credit card instead. We were taken to our room by a lovely guy who pointed out where things were in the grounds as we went along. He also carried our cases up to our first floor room. The rooms are perfectly adequate, very clean with a very comfortable bed. It needed a bit of slight TLC in that a lick of paint would not go amiss and the bathroom door did not close properly. Presumably this will be dealt with in the close season. No issues with hot water and the housekeeper did a great job every day. We asked for a quiet garden room and it was just that apart from the odd drunk who needed a volume control. Be aware though, the walls are very thin! Food is excellent with lots of choice and a bias towards Greek dishes which we totally enjoyed. Asian Corner made a nice change too. We tried both the bookable al a cartes and both are worth a visit. Pizza in the Italian is very impressive. Drinks are adequate, beer and wine are both palatable. Spirits are local and are weak which is understandable as they do not want people legless drunk. Some people did treat it as a challenge though. There is supposed to be a dress code in the restaurant but it is not enforced even though the Hotel matrie de is always present. It is a nice restaurant and the ladies make a real effort to dress up but the men do not bother. The way some dressed, Wetherspoons would have turned them away. Top tip, go to dinner when it first opens or you will be queuing outside. Usual sun bed warriors who think they will die if they do not get the same sunbed every day. There were sunbeds always available away from the pool but the hotel was not full. Peak season I guess would be a different story. The grounds are beautifully kept and are a pleasure to walk around. Staff are wonderful never came across a miserable one. They cannot do enough for you and the smiles brighten up your day. With a little investment and some tweaking this hotel would be excellent. I have marked it down only because of the sunbed situation and the lack of dress code enforcement. If you have rules, enforce them or get rid of them and create a fair playing field.
  • Guest:What an incredible 2-week stay we had to celebrate our 30 Wedding Anniversary ! Location : Perfect! Many options to relax during the day either by the 2 pools or by the sea. Comments about sunbeds are unjustified (there are loads), and seemingly made by selfish guests believing it their right to have the same spot every day, placing their towels during the night/ early morning & then turning up at or after midday! Rooms : Spacious, clean, functional with good beds, bedding & towels. Ok, could probably do with being updated, but nothing that warrants the negative feedback on here. Restaurant : Amazing! Yes, sometimes there was a queue, but is that the hotel's fault if everyone wants to eat at the same time?! Organisation was fantastic with a thoughtful welcome drink and an amazing team. A big thank you to Maria, Sissi, Kiki, Zoi & Kostas. ?? Food : Fabulous!! So good, we didn't even bother with the other restaurants. Simply, great choice & great quality. Again, negative reviews are hard to comprehend .. thanks to all the Chefs. ??????? Bars : Kostas, you are a legend! This man works tirelessly throughout the day .. the minimum he deserves from us is respect with Hello/How are you?/Please/Thank you. Peti, your beautiful smile lit up our days! ???? Entertainment : This is the only element that could do with improvement. Lacked variety throughout the day & pretty bad of an evening. We would have liked to enjoy the evenings in the hotel, but ended up going out every night (Hersonissos or Stalida). Finally, a VERY special mention goes to Haroula .. you went out of your way to ensure we had a wonderful holiday. We can't thank you enough and so look forward to coming back again. ????
