Zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij onthaal.heel mooi recent domein in verdere uitbouw. Hutten gelegen in het groen.de hutten voldoen aan de normen, airco in elke hut,een proper toilet en badkamer. Het zwembad is mooi gelegen . Alle faciliteiten aanwezig. De eigenaar plant telkens een nieuwe struik.bloem of boom aan in jou naam. Wij kregen de "egg-plant" Het eten is met veel liefde klaar gemaakt en was lekker traditioneel en er werd zelf gezorgd voor een mooie verrassing voor de verjaardag van iemand van ons. Een aanrader bij aankomst in sri Lanka om te recuperen na een lange vlucht. Of bij vertrek. Ze verzorgen transfer naar de luchthaven, gratis!
Lovely place, full of beautiful trees and plants - and a pet turtle named Turner (who is rather fond of sausages). The staff are very friendly and helpful, particularly Nalaka. The whole place has a very homely feel. We were honoured to be asked to plant a tree in the garden and we went with the owner, Bernard, to choose it (we chose a mango tree). The rooms were good, with a mosquito net over the bed. There were a few problems initially getting the hot water to work. The breakfasts were excellent, with a selection of fresh fruit and Sri Lankan dishes. But the dinner menu was quite limited and, strangely, the curry and rice option was not available in the evening. But overall, the hotel is highly recommended.
I stayed for one night in transit. Staff are all very kind and helpful. Airport pick up was given as a welcome gift. Breakfast was with various fruit and Sri Lankan dishes which were.beautiful and made my stomach easy for the next leg of air travel. I loved the morning of step garden resort. It was cool with pleasant breeze with a view of plants and trees and birds’ chirping. One down point was the bed sheet with stains. I don’t think they didn’t wash them but couldn’t get the dirt out.
Arriving at this magnificent garden was a treat. The layout meant your accommodation was private and quiet. The garden has various small animals freely roaming around. Rabbits, turkeys, ducks and geese. The swimming pool area was close to the restaurant. The lemon and lime drink was the best. The food was good. My room was well laid out and the shower area lovely
We only stayed 1 night, as it was at the end of our trip en route to the airport. Very nice, with beautiful greenery, a enchanting little river, and nice big pool. The rooms and beds were a comfortable size for 2 adults and 2 small kids. The food was just as expected--a nice sri lankan style. The staff was very kind, professional, and accommodating. They provided a free 24 hr shuttle service to the airport--just what we needed. I happily recommend this place.
Our first hotel in Sri Lanka after a long flight, just 20 min drive from Colombo airport. We arrived after midnight and 2 rooms were ready for us. The staff was really helpful. The setting is absolutely beautiful, cabins arounf a stream of water and exhuberant vegetation all around, a pool, many animals and a real feel of nature. So peaceful and beautiful. Our first Sri Lankan, copious breakfast served with a big smile. Shame we had to leave straight after breakfast so we could not enjoy the place a bit more, but it was a most welcoming first night in the country. Thanks to the manager for the super nice gesture regarding our choice of rooms!!
