We were staying at the Parkview for 3 nights in late November and had the absolute pleasure of finding that Food & Farm Dining was located within, we had breakfast each morning which was always fresh with a wonderful sourdough cooked in house, lunch was an absolute delight with a contrasting menu to what you would find in other establishments. Dinner consisted of Chefs specials including loads of locally sourced produce, the wine & drinks list also reflected local wineries and breweries. Karen was an absolute delight along with her friendly staff, this is a hidden gem amongst a wonderful town. John & Colleen, Canberra.
The hotel is located only a short walk from town which was very convenient. Breakfast in the adjoining cafe which is open Thursday to Sunday was amazing. Unfortunately due to the location of the hotel it was difficult to sleep in as the room was quite noisy even with the double glazed windows. Be prepared to carry your luggage up a narrow winding staircase.
Just visiting family with mum in Mudgee
Room was wonderful reception staff were awesome the whole vibe was calm, relaxed and welcoming . Short walk into town great cafe on site for breakfast or lunch . Art gallery across the road with a pub around the corner however Kelly’s was the place to have dinner in Mudgee.
I would give the Parkview 5 stars however the noise coming from upstairs guests through the vent in the bathroom went on until 1:40AM Saturday night and Sunday morning. I was in suite 2.
My trip to Mudgee last week was a nostalgic one. To stay at this beautiful hotel was on my bucket list, as it was once owned by my great aunts, Florence and Alice Lonergan and run as a guesthouse. Even though I had made a number of trips to Mudgee, I had never been inside. It was lovely to see that the old-world character had been kept in the rooms along with beautiful modern bathrooms. I stayed in room 2 and was able to go out on the old verandah with views of Robertson Park and overlooking the lovely cafe. Hannah was extremely friendly and helpful as I enquired about previous history of the building.
Nice old building tastefully refurbished. Centrally located to town centre and you can leave your car and walk to pubs, clubs and restaurants. Very friendly staff and a lovely cafe operating on the premises for a tasty breakfast. It does get a bit noisy with traffic though.
